LifeProof has long been a trusted name in phone cases, but now that it’s owned by OtterBox, time will tell if the same level of quality and durability remains. I’ve used LifeProof cases in the past with no issues, and this is my first experience with one under OtterBox’s ownership. Right away, I noticed that the case is quite slick and could benefit from a bit more texture for a better grip. On the plus side, the fit is excellent, the screen remains clear and highly responsive, and overall, the case feels well-constructed. However, the buttons—particularly for volume, sleep/Siri, and the silence switch—are extremely tight and require significant pressure to use. It’s possible they’ll loosen up over time, so I’ll provide an update after more use. The case does feel sturdy, but when dropped, it hits hard with a solid thud, which raises some concerns about impact protection. Given how slick it is, a bit more shock absorption might be beneficial. As for waterproofing, I tested the case by submerging it for an hour—twice the recommended 30 minutes—using a paper towel inside. While no water got in, I did notice air bubbles escaping from the area around the flash glass. While this didn’t result in leaks, it does make me question whether that spot could become a potential weak point over time. For now, I’m giving the case 4 stars due to the slick texture, stiff buttons, and uncertainty about its long-term durability. However, these aren’t dealbreakers, and it’s still a solid case overall. I’ll update this review in a few months, but in the meantime, I wouldn’t let these minor flaws deter you from purchasing it. ... show more

This case is absolute junk I had it a week and the charging port cover broke off the thing will not seal like intended allowing dust to collect under the screen. All around poor quality and not worth the money. Definitely going back to an otter box!
