You will be inspired if you read about these great people who have influenced the world. Most in the book influenced the world for better and some for worse relative to your moral code. Nelson Mandela was one of the greats that inspired me to follow him in his role to improve the world around him. I recommend reading parts of Nelson's autobiography as well if you are interested in being inspired to change the world. Half the magazine/book is photographs, but the text gives you enough to wet you appetite for more information. You can learn how to be great from these people by learning how they became great and how to avoid costly mistakes. When you learn from their mistakes and successes you stand on the shoulders of giants, making it easier for you to become great. Anyone can become great even if they are not well endowed with resources or abilities. My favorites in this book are: Tesla, Mandela, Gandhi, Einstein, Aristotle, Buddha and more ... show more

LIFE 100 People Who Changed the World is a very enjoyable book. I got it for my mom, she's in her eighties now, and she enjoys settling down and reading a good book. It helps her wind down for the night.

I saw this Life issue in the store and was going to buy it the next time I went in but they had already credited it out so I ordered a hard cover version online...

    • Good but not great -
I just expected more ‘interesting’ facts about these people! Made them seem pretty boring, which if they are 100 who changed the world seems as if something should be unique and different.
