I want to escalate this issue, as I feel it is manufacturing defect. The LG service team told me the issue is a "hidden fracture" and cannot be fixed. It's either caused by shipping or manufacturing. The box it came in shows no damage, but the packing material has some damage. So it most likely is manufacturing related. I was very careful about unpacking and mounting it, so I now I didn't do it. I paid a lot of money for this tv and I expect it to be replaced. I will take this issue to the very top if I have too. I just pulled back the protective screen film and I do see what looks like an impact crack on the screen, but there is no damage/marking on the protective film at all, so it looks like the crack happened before the film was put on. So to me that proves it's a manufacturing issue. Who do I need to go to to get this resolved? ... show more

Picture nice, but cannot see a big difference in it and our 12 year old 46" Sony TV! My husband likes all of the extra HDMI ports. Seems like a solid TV, I just expected more clarity with the "OLED" picture quality. Cannot really see a difference. Maybe just the difference in a Sony and an LG. We would have ordered the OLED Sony, but it was 1K more! Maybe worth it? Also, the TV arrived a week later than we were told, and it did not have all of the extras with it that it was supposed to have! No task rabbit, no surge protector, no cables, no wall mount etc. We were told to send the TV back and they would send us one with the package that we paid for. We thought it was ridiculous that they could not just send us the add ons that was part of the order without us sending the whole heavy TV in all of its packing back! We are seniors and did not want all of that hassle! We had waited an extra week for the TV, and it was their mistake, not ours, but they were unwilling to bend. So we kept the TV without the extras. This TV looks absolutely amazing and is incredibly thin. It was shipped with an added layer of protection so it couldn't possibly be damaged, and it shipped incredibly fast.

I'm giving it 4 stars for the "package" I bought (+wall mount, installation, hdmi cables etc.) but 5 stars for the TV itself. Incredible picture quality when viewing ultra HD 4k movies. Decent when streaming 1080 content (I use youtubetv) but that's not the TV's fault. Maybe I just had too high hopes for the 4k upscaling given the price tag of this TV is twice that of its high end LED competitors (and 4x the price of low end 4k tvs of similar size). Haven't done any gaming on it yet but will get a ps5 at some point. It's really for watching movies in the dark though, and when it comes to that I don't think anyone else does it better as of the time of this review. The speakers are nothing to write home about but that's the expectation when you have these razor thin screens nowadays. Debating whether to pair this with a Sonos Arc or Bose 700. Really want to experience the Dolby Atmos. Note: Be aware that the items in the package are pretty bottom market. Nothing wrong with them but nothing great either. Also the taskrabbit voucher isn't necessarily "free mounting" but a fixed $60 promo code off whatever your invoice ends up being. Lastly, this isn't Beach Camera's fault but the shipping company only sent one guy to deliver it inside my house. I had to help him and I kept asking him to lift the box off the ground a few inches but he dragged it on the floor of my house so I was slightly afraid of damage (to both TV and floor). ... show more

    • Just. Wow. Picture quality. Doesn't disappoint.
Shipping was fast and the tv came very well protected. It is an LG OLED CX 65". It has met my expectations which is to say, excellent picture and visuals, good interface. The set up was not difficult and I have it set up with a Denon AVR and Klipsch 5:1 surround set, tower fronts, 4k blu ray. I tested it first on the BBC's Planet Earth II. Just. Wow. I had owned this set on regular blu ray, not 4k, for a much older big screen before. Now pairing 4k discs with the 4k tv is a completely different experience. Next I sampled Mad Max Fury Road and it too was awesome, especially with the audio set up. I would say to anyone, get this tv, and get as big as you can house. I couldn't manage any bigger size in my space. This tv makes me excited to watch movies at home. ... show more

Love my new TV. Picture is great out of the box with no banding. Using it as an auxiliary monitor for my computer and for gaming on my PS4. Also, Beach Audio doesn’t screw around, they shipped next day even though that day was Sunday!

    • Good but colors are disappointing.
This is my third oled previous ones from 2016 and 2017. I'm a bit disappointed with the picture on this one. The colors arent nearly as vibrant as the other two I own. This one looks more like plasma TVs I've owned in the past where my other oleds had the best parts of plasma and LED TV's.
