I absolutely love this monitor. I do a lot of research, and am so happy that I can have nearly 8 full size pages open at the same time, side by side on the screen. I used to use a 17" laptop with 2 external 27" monitors, but still got lost going from monitor to monitor. This is soo wonderful! Unlike using a TV for a monitor, small type is easily readable and not all pixelated. The sound from the built in speaker is comprable to having a high-end sound bar hooked up. I haven't even tried out all of the features of this thing, and I still absolutely love it. Plus it's priced here about $300 less than a big box store that usually has good prices. It was shipped well and arrived in perfect condition. Was easy to set up. I just ordered another one for my husband who was totally jealous, even though he's been using two 52" tv's for monitors (they're really just too big, and small type appears fuzzy - they're just not good enough to use for a monitor). This is definitely one of my best purchases ever. Make that two best purchases now :) ... show more

    • Great work monitor, wish I had bought it sooner!
To set the stage, I work from home and I don't game. I doubt this would be a great gaming monitor but for working from home it is fantastic. I got rid of my dual 27 inch monitors and have more real estate with this one. Plus it is a "normal" aspect ratio as opposed to the "super wide" monitors. This means I get more vertical real estate as well. I wasn't sure I would love not having a traditional monitor stand but honestly the "tv" type stand is fine since the monitor is so big. With a price under $600 it's cheaper than getting 2 decent 27 inch monitors. You won't go wrong with this one if you are working from home! ... show more

I'm very happy with this monitor. It arrived with zero dead pixels! The default resolution is huge. Older machines that can't output the default resolution might experience flickering or shutting off. This can be fixed by selecting a lower display resolution in your OS settings, or by switching the monitor to four-quadrant split-screen mode so your device can grab a lower resolution. I used "displayplacer" by Jake Hilborn off GitHub to max out my MacBook pro's output resolution. Update 1: I accidentally splashed an entire solo cup of water onto the screen. It seeped into the bottom frame but surprisingly there is no damage. Update 2: Using a "display port" cable instead of "HDMI" seems to have cleared up all flickering issues. Display port good, HDMI bad. The monitor comes with a male-to-male standard display port cable, which you can buy adapters to convert to mini display port for use with old Macs for example. ... show more

Pro's: * good quality and does what it is advertised. No issues at all for a full year. * streaming 4k Netflix from my Windows 11 PC works! * it is perfect for productivity workload. Con's: * no inky black background like OLED, but it is expected.

    • The return/refund process was/is awful.
I purchased this monitor before. It was and still is a great product so I ordered another one. This model was slightly cheaper and I believe the only difference is it had a different stand. When I got it, I noticed the picture was different. A little more green than my other one. After about a week the screen went black. I checked to see if it had power. It did. The button at the bottom beeped when pressed just no picture. I return it. I'm checking the tracking status on the app and it tells me i will be refunded once they recieved the return. The app tells me it was recieved 3 days after I shipped it. August 1st. It said you will receive your refund by August 15th. August 15 arrived and it said you will receive your refund by aug 17. The 17th arrived. It said you will receive by the 19th. The 18 arrives. It said you will recieve by the 25th. Frustrated I call customer service. The rep says wait till the 28th, if not issued call back. The 28th arrived. I call. He says wait until the 4th of September. There is a pattern here and I feel like I'm stuck in a loop. Can I please have my money back? Edit. I called back today. I still have not seen my refund. The agent was about to tell me "let me see when this can be done.." frustrated I said I had enough, I need my refund today. She says she going to contact someone higher up. I'm on hold. She comes back and says a ticket was submitted. You have to wait 24 hours. If not issued, call back. Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode... ... show more

As one who had been using IPS monitors my whole career in finance I always like the monitor with the non-glare matte finish that was easy to read all day long. This LG display continues that legacy in a large format version. Picture quality is great with few adjustments necessary.
