⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This monitor has completely transformed my setup. The 45-inch 5K2K display provides an incredible amount of screen space, and the OLED panel delivers stunning colors, deep blacks, and amazing contrast. Everything from gaming to productivity looks fantastic. I was coming from a 27-inch 1440p IPS monitor, and the difference is night and day. The immersive curve makes games feel much more engaging, and the ultrawide aspect ratio gives you a huge field of view in supported titles. The image quality is outstanding, motion is smooth, and text clarity has been better than I expected at this size. It took a little tweaking in some games to get settings dialed in, but once everything was configured, the experience was incredible. I've been using it for 4 months now and when I first set it up, it was stellar. The difference was incredible. It's very immersive and just a great screen. I'm not going to go into all the details that others do, but I'll highlight a few things: Pro: - It's big. The curvature is just about right if you're about 3 feet away. - The HDR is a nice change and very noticeable. - Refresh is fine - 165Hz is more than enough if you can push it there. - 2 HDMI, 1 DP, 1 USB-C is nice. - I get 165Hz with both DP 3M (what is now Green Jiss CABLE-54532587 (?)) and HDMI 2M (Ubluker UB222) cables from Amazon. - USB-C port provides power/video to a MacBook, if that's what you're using. - It's packed very well (and huge, as you would expect). Con: - Other reviews mention not coming out of sleep. I had the same issue. I just changed the settings to not go into deep sleep and it's been fine. - Would have preferred a different way to switch between inputs than pulling up the menu with that small nipple-like joystick. I imagine that it will eventually fail. - Firmware update is a mess to do. Don't know if I needed it or not but did it anyway (the sleep issue noted above). - The USB-A ports on the monitor are only fed by the USB-C input. Kinda disappointing. If you have a MacBook attached via USB-C but want those USB-A ports for a different machine, nope. - It's big (pro and con depending on your setup). I think the USB port thing is my biggest gripe. Would be nice to have the USB-C video but not have the USB-A hub/ports tied to that input. One more USB input for the hub with a toggle on which to use would have made it perfect. Anyway, overall, I can ignore the cons and say that this is an amazing monitor.

First off, the curve is VERY aggressive! However, once you sit in front of it, it's nowhere near as bad as you may think. I have yet to try this on PC; it works mostly great on console. You do have to tweak some annoying settings to get it to register HDR and may have to manually adjust the picture quality but it is very worth it! You can either have the image stretched or cut it down to 16:9. I personally recommened the stretched ratio since it doesn't look as terrible as one might think. In some game, however, it is very noticable and should be switched to 16:9 instead of 21:9. The colors and brightness are beautiful, especially in dark rooms. The high refresh rate makes gameplay look simply stunning and easily worth the discounted price. While the original price is crazy, the cut down price makes this monitor a MUST if you want to get into wide screen monitors! The response time feels practically instant compared to other monitors I've used. The height can also be adjusted to very high or average, which helps a lot. Overall, I give this monitor a 9/10; one point is taken off due to the original full price. But if that doesn't bother you, go for it! 2026 Update: Still an amazing monitor! Again, the price is pretty difficult but it is most definitely worth it!

So far it's a great monitor. So first of the sound.... Never had a monitor with speakers but these are loud and sound good. Not great like a headset but good enough when you want to give your ears a break. They are a little muffled due to beaing in the housing. Picture quality... It amazes me at the quality and sharpness of games even on 2560x1080 330hz mode. I have always wanted a widescreen 4k monitor when I seen this at another store on display I had to try it especially when it was on sale for 25% off. It didn't look as good in the store as it does at home. Search online for the best color settings and this monitor will surpass the DW3225qf in gaming. On paper the colors of a WOLED aren't as good as the QD OLED, but if you only use it for gaming that won't make a noticeable difference. The colors are still vibrant even in hdr. Final thoughts.... For some reason gsync doesn't work on the 3225QF as well as this monitor. Games at 240hz on the 3225QF had stutter and tearing. All the games I tested on this monitor are silky smooth. At 2560X1080 Battlefield 6 runs at 600 fps, almost 2x the refresh rate, but it's still smooth and no tearing. This is an amazing widescreen monitor I am glad I purchased.

This is our first OLED monitor, and it's amazing. Now we know why people say you can't go back once you used OLED monitor. We upgraded from a 49 inch ultrawide monitor, which is just too short at 1440 pixels vertical. This is 2K or 2160 so exactly 50% more vertical. Horozontal is the same at 5K. Much better for productivity work. We actually don't game so was debating between the this monitor and the 57 inch 8K x 2K monitor at similar price. Most people say 57" at 8K x 2K is better for productivity, and this 45" at 5K x 2K OLED is better for gaming. This is probably true, but once we saw both monitors in a store, we knew we have to get the OLED. Colors are just more vivid and brillant due to the true blacks on the OLED. This 45" monitor is indeed smaller than the 57", but still big enough. Now if someone makes bigger OLED monitor in the future, we might upgrade again. This will no doubt takes a few years since the price will be very high at first for a new released monitor. I think this is the best monitor on the market now. With the recent price drop this is well worth it. Just wait for a sale then jump on it.

pretty crazy monitor... for a pretty crazy price. ive replayed every game i have with it and its everything i wanted. 4k and ultrawide and oled and bigger then my last. this wraps around you thats not annoying like the G9 from samsung my cons are the fact that the stand is a grey ish with just a slight tinge of blue tint. kinda odd considering most setups are black white or a certain color or have a wood esthetic and a huge con is a "2 year warranty" i had to call amazon and lg to verify this because nowhere is it listen. thats why i loved my DWF alienware monitor that had a 3 year burn in warranty. unacceptable for this price point ABSOLUTELY unacceptable anouther con is THE MATT COATING ON MY OLED MONITOR. THIS IS A SIN everything else is awesome, 330hz mode is a huge plus too for esports when i play with my friends and want response over fidelity single player games is like taking off smudged sunglasses in a dark room. its beautiful and colors are exactly like my DWF QD-OLED if your worried about color intensity, though i did have to adjust white point to my liking out of the box white seemed a little too blue. i needed the custom color 2 option for warmth to be almost one to one to my QD-OLED samsung pannel. keep in mind you need a pretty expensive pc to play games natively, i have a TUF OC 4090 and 7800x3d both are absolutely needed for the 330hz refresh rate which is more CPU intensive and 4k being GPU intensive, pushing just over 11 million pixels compared to my old 1440x 3440 being just under 4 million. OVER TWICE AS MUCH and 40% more then the odyssey g9 1440 pannels heres some subnautica 2 sceeenshots.

I have a 55" OLED from LG and that inspired me to get an OLED monitor for my computer. For the foreseeable future it will be OLED only for me. I have this paired with a RTX 5080, displays games beautifully. The high refresh rate is amazing, I was looking for something that was at least 120hz with VRR. This fit the bill perfectly. There is VERY light compatibility support when it comes to video display through websites/apps. Unless you find a workaround (they are out there) you will have black bars sometimes around the image, even if the image received is 21:9, it may show up smaller in the center. For Mac there are apps to expand the image to fill the screen (after using the fullscreen function and it doesn't fill the screen) but for Windows I genuinely haven't looked for a solution. The HDR functions well when using DisplayPort or USB-C, there can be on/off flickering when using HDMI input. This seems to be throughout LG products. Can't determine what would be at fault, could be the monitor, cable, or source. But my 55" LG OLED had the screen flashing on and off each time you transitioned into a new scene in game while using Xbox Series X with HDR on. Whatever the issue was, it was very similar to this weird behavior coming from the HDMI to HDMI situation I just experienced with the Mac mini and this display. I had issues with the HDR flickering on/off when using a Mac Mini, HDMI to HDMI and it did NOT like that. USB C from the Mac mini into the USB C port on the display works phenomenally. All in all this monitor is great, OLED is expensive, but from my personal experience it has been worth it.

Having a monitor is like having a roommate. This monitor is a very pretty roommate, but in all other respects is the worst roommate ever. I have come to deeply resent this monitor and the team that created it. I will replace it happily as soon as anything even remotely better comes along. Unfortunately that might be a while, because in terms of screen quality, I don't think there's anything else in this class on the planet as of mid-2025. Let's get the good out of the way, the stuff people probably already talk about in reviews: - It's a very big screen. It wraps right around me, and I sit back in a long lounge chair, not a regular office chair. But I still feel like I'm in an IMAX theater. - The screen supports incredibly high resolutions. I don't know if this matters for gaming, but if you're doing any sort of knowledge work, from programming to writing to spreadsheets, this monitor shows a LOT of information and will help you get more done. It's honestly so powerful that I, who am no longer young, don't need or use the 5k2k resolution. In fact I'd have been fine with 4k if it had meant a brighter monitor. - The screen is decently bright. I do wish it were brighter. It feels like it should be as bright as a TV of this size, and it's not even close to that. But there is no question that the screen is bright enough to get the job done, once you adjust the max brightness setting to High and then crank brightness to 100. - The black is very, very black, like Vantablack level, even at full brightness. The white is OK, not great, but good enough. The other colors are very nice. I use color extensively in my line of work and have no complaints. Monitor greens are often weak, but this one has decent greens. - The stand is solid and supports the monitor's weight well. I bump the monitor pretty hard once in a while and it has never flinched. - I've had the monitor for almost a year and haven't had a single pixel go out. The build quality seems solid. - Bucking the trend of the complaints from other reviewers, I don't mind the mat finish at all. I think it's great. In fact I think a gloss finish might drive me nuts. I don't want to see my reflection, and with this monitor, I don't have to worry about that. OK, now on to the part that made me give it 3 stars: The software and the user interface. They would have been considered awful if this monitor had come out in 2007. By today's standards, they're an embarrassment to LG. Where, even, should I start? I could write a book about how awful the monitor controls are. I'll stick with the worst lowlights or this could go on for pages: - The button for all the controls is unbelievably clumsy and user-hostile. You can only use it from certain angles. You have to be sitting directly in front of the monitor. It does not respond well if your hand is at a slight angle. It frequently ignores your button pushes even after responding to identical pushes moments before. It often misinterprets your inputs. There is nothing good to say about this button. It is the worst interface joystick ever created by humankind. - The monitor insists on some stupid "image cleaning" question/prompt that it asks you whenever you want to shut the monitor off after using it for a while. So when your wife calls you up to eat, and you fumble around with the uvula button to hit Power Off, and stand up and get ready to run out, you might or might not notice that it has prompted you with a big red screen saying "can we start image cleaning?" I DON'T CARE. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR STUPID IMAGE CLEANING. STOP PROMPTING ME ABOUT IT YOU IDIOTS! - The monitor 100% refuses to obey any request to change the input unless you yank cables out. I have a simple setup: My Nintendo Switch and my Macbook, in HDM1 and HDM2 respectively. If I am using the Macbook and I close it and switch the monitor to HDM1, I have about seven seconds to mash buttons on the Switch to get it responding before the monitor switches back to HDMI2. It is INCREDIBLY AGGRESSIVE about switching back, without giving me ANY TIME AT ALL TO GET MY OTHER DEVICE SENDING PACKETS. It also happens going the other direction, trying to switch back to HDMI2. I have to deal with this issue multiple times a day. - If I'm working along for a few hours, the monitor will suddenly say, "5 minutes to power off, press any button to abort". never mind that I might be leaned all the way back with my feet up on the desk, working with my keyboard in my lap, hands nowhere near that stupid little monitor control button. And it makes me put my keyboard aside, sit all the way up, and fumble around with that stupid button. And by the way, no matter what you press, you will have to press ANOTHER button to get the menu to go away. So it's not "press a button to abort", it's "press a button, wait, and press another one, hoping it will respond to your input because half the time it does not". Look, I get the power-saver thing. I could sort of potentially see them doing this if the monitor didn't have any input for a while. But it happens while I'm typing away! It's insane! What the heck is wrong with this design team? That's just a few of the many, many problems with this software. It's ugly, it doesn't have enough functionality, it's hard to navigate, it lacks customizability, the list goes on and on. Any modern piece of technology, especially one that costs $1999 USD and comes from one of the largest and most respected electronics manufacturers in the world, should have a sophisticated software menu with installable applications, built-in documentation, dashboards, and a well-designed, easy to navigate user interface. This monitor has NONE of those things. So, like I said. It's like having a charming roommate with absolutely terrible hygiene and habits, who always throws parties at inappropriate times, and with whom you can barely interface. I would not buy this monitor again. No need to reward them for shipping with this garbage. I'll just get a dual-monitor setup next time.
