  • Fantastic Gaming Monitor! Very Meh Working/Productivity Monitor
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
Pros - Large size - Top notch image quality and colors of OLED making it suitable to some design/editing work! (Comes with calibration software too!) (Just don't expect text to be clear at this size/resolution/subpixel structure) - 240Hz refresh rate is fast enough to stay relevant gaming for several years to come - Crazy low response time/input lag - Aggressive curve let's your eyes see to all 4 corners easier (A must for most people at these sizes) - Size and curve gives excellent immersion while gaming! - USB ports are nice - Thin bezels and sexy design - Nice adjustable stand allows for good viewing angles - Since it's LG (King of WOLED panels), I trust it not to get burn-in anytime soon - Plenty of input ports - Resolution good enough for some general use (especially if you're coming from 1080p or 1920x1200) - Well-packaged and protected (I was so scared of it coming damaged, and the box certainly was, but it was in perfect condition) - Comes with high quality cables (nVidia) - Anti-glare coating reduces glare..ish Cons (I knew all these going in and didn't have any surprises) - Resolution (3440x1440) is not something to write home about and keeps things kind of insultingly big when scaled at 100% especially if you're used to 4k. Wish it were at least 5120x1440 for daily usability/work, but less pixels is easier for my laptop 3080 GPU to push higher quality game visuals and that's what I really got this for - WOLED subpixel structure and the resolution means that text clarity is just Ok (With Microsoft ClearType) (but terrible for text design and extensive text usage<just preview on a different monitor though, NBD>) - Expensive, but you already know that, and the market is what it is (I bought on Prime days 10-13-24 for ate twen tea forr) - Stand could have better viewing angles (I'd prefer to have this on a stand and be able to tilt it downward more, but I could buy an adjustable arm to put it on) - Some people may want it to include a KVM, but I'm fine without since it's just for my gaming rig - One button on bottom back of monitor a bit awkward to use (wish it had a remote!) - Annoying things that are just part of having an OLED monitor like having to let it run through it's 2 hour "OLED Image Cleaning" cycle, having to use more aggressive screensaver/sleep/shutdown settings to prevent burn-in, etc. - Lack of Dolby Vision that all LG OLED TVs come with (that would be nice for some games!) - Anti-glare coating is liked by some, but it does rob you of some of OLED's image quality lifting blacks a bit (Unfortunately, if you go with an LG OLED TV it'll have the beautiful glossy screen, higher 4K resolution <Not ultra-wide aspect ratio>, much taller depending on size, and no curve to help view the edges and make a much more immersive experience!) ... show more

  • Great, on sale
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
The LG monitor feels like it should. A top-tier gaming monitor that excels in performance and visuals. Its has stunning picture quality with perfect blacks and vibrant colors. The 800R curve provides a deeply immersive gaming experience, wrapping the action around your field of view. It feels like your in the Game! The 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, gameplay is incredibly smooth and responsive. Beyond its visual prowess, the monitor is thoughtfully designed for practicality. Setup is straightforward, thanks to a one-click stand and an easy-to-use OSD joystick. While the price point is on the higher end, it’s a worthwhile investment for serious gamers, and I really like the 2-year warranty that covers the OLED panel for burn-in. T ... show more

  • Great monitor.
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
I had been avoiding OLED monitors for a while. Though burn-in has been a concern, it's pretty well minimized to the point of being a non-issue. Price was also a major factor. So I just stuck to LCD. Coming across this monitor at a reasonable price and with specifications I felt were quite good, I finally broke down and gave it a shot knowing I could return it if it just didn't work for me. Needless to say, I'm extremely pleased with it. Just the overall brightness levels and color reproduction alone make it better than even the higher priced LCD monitors I've used before. But what is most striking is the black actually being black, even when the next pixel over is bright white. I'm sure this isn't news to most people, but having true black levels instead of the typical gray you get from backlight bleed really makes for an entirety different experience. The image quality is just light-years ahead of any of my previous monitors. If there's any downside to it, it's the fact it is a bit more power hungry. And I might have preferred a couple more USB ports with its built in hub. But those are pretty minor. The stand seems plenty sturdy, but I can't give any real feedback on that as I use a multi monitor fixed stand. This thing has been an absolute game changer for me in regards to my gaming and general use of the computer. Again, this is likely old news to most people. I had just been holding back on making the jump for a good while. But now, I can't see going back. The OSD menu is easy to use and has plenty of options to tailor the image to your liking. Just a great monitor overall that isn't insanely priced. ... show more

  • HUGE Monitor for any gaming setup. Limited settings.
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
I should preface this review with the fact that I jumped on a sale with a significant coupon that ended up totaling this monitor for a mere $615, which is less than 50% the retail value. That being said, I am not entirely sure that monitors should cost above $1000, despite the technological advances put into them. Yes OLED is far superior to LED and LCD displays due to the true blacks and better refresh rates as well as the curved design making it easier for your eyes to acquire information on the edges of the screen quicker, but I would retail them a lot less than the strikethrough price of $1500 for this particular model as it makes it a more desirable purchase when people see that it's "on sale" for only $1000 which is somewhat deceitful. With all that hubbub being said, this is an excellent monitor for ANY gaming setup! Whether you are just starting out and want to slowly climb your way up to the ultimate gamer cove by coping this for a better gaming experience while the funds accumulate for your next upgrade, or you would like to replace your dual screen experience for one big curved monitor, or even add it as a third monitor, the options are completely up to you. As far as the unboxing build goes, pay close attention to which side the box indicates to open, as there is a bad ending, because you don't want to damage your very expensive new curved monitor, which is a behemoth itself when you first take it out of it's cardboard cage. I recommend having a soft chair or fluffy pillow available to set it on, unless you assemble it in the box like a madman. The clips are fairly straightforward and so easy that a caveman could do it, so don't humble yourself if you don't need to this time. Remember this is an expensive buy. It has 2 HDMI ports, 1 DisplayPort, 1 USB-B port, 2 USB-A ports along with the power port, which is a non-standard single prong socket, rather than a triple or double prong as found in other peripherals. It also includes one of those old power brick adapters because moar monitor needs moar power. The stand is adjustable in many directions and will allow for storage between the bottom of the screen and the stand, about 8" worth, which may sound like not a lot, but you can fit quite a few knick-knacks under there should you choose to raise the monitor that high. It is pretty strong, as I have incidentally knocked my desk a few times over the past several weeks that I can recall and distinctly remember uttering the words, "Nice it didn't fall". The only discrepancy I found with this compared to my other monitors on the setup is the limited amount of settings you can adjust. Yes the standard brightness and contrast options are there, but something has been off with the color saturation by default, which isn't something I normally worry about, but sometimes I am unable to distinguish certain character models in-game, while some other look like a sunburnt beach tanner, but when I move the game to the adjacent monitor, the issue isn't there. Again this isn't a huge problem, as I'm sure only a small amount of people who buy this will notice. Recommended for it's HUGE size and smooth curve! ... show more

  • For $850 I definitely recommend.
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
Got this on sale for $850 ish. Everything about this screen is A+. 39” w/21:9 using 800r is very immersive. No other screen ive used pulled me in like this. Base has adjustment for height, vertical and horizontal tilt, and swivel. Brightness potential is not a concern. There’s a core setting you can change other than normal brightness/contrast to get it brighter and amazingly the highest setting is actually too bright for me so I turned it down. No dead pixels. Super fast response. 2 cons. 1. For the msrp price($1400) I dont know if id buy it. But for $850 I consider it a personal investment into my only hobby (pc gaming). Still even then this screen is not for your casual hobbyist. 2. The audio jack for external speakers is in the most idiotic place. There’s so much room behind the screen and yet they put the jack at the bottom of the bezel. Its an eyesore on such a beautiful screen. The info on amazon conveniently glazes over this. So aesthetic with external speakers output is a fail. Overall if u have the money to spend and looking for a large immersive gaming monitor than I have to recommend this. ... show more

  • Great monitor for work but a lot of technical issues/defects
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
I got the 39 inch model. It's been super awesome for coding/work, excellent curve, and not noticing anything with "blocky text" like I was worried about. Its been good for my migraines since the screen can get really dark without looking washed out. I only have two complaints. One: changing the brightness involves going deep in the menus for some reason. You can't set a shortcut. This sucks for migraines and also opening windows. Two: I can't screenshare at full resolution because the screen is too big for people to see. I have to change the resolution as a workaround. I've hardly done any gaming so I can't speak on how that part is. HOWEVER, I have had a lot of technical issues with the screen having colored horizontal and vertical lines, issues powering on, etc. which began after having it for a year (though hardly using it due to being on a leave of absence). I contacted LG support, went back and forth, and they had me ship it in for repair (KEEP YOUR BOX!!) It came back with an issue remaining, but less bad. I needed it for work so I let it slide until several months later it just stopped powering on altogether. I don't even use this thing every day, even some weeks it never gets turned on, so I know this isn't from overuse. Thankfully the warranty is 2 years, but I'm afraid the monitor may still have problems by the time the warranty runs out and I'll be SOL. If that happens I would definitely not buy this monitor again. ... show more

  • Super Happy With It
Size: 39 inches Style: 39GS95QE-B
I read plenty of reviews from others and watched several YouTube reviews before deciding on this over the 45”. Two things I’ll note from my experience with it so far: 1. The picture looks phenomenal. The colors are vibrant and the blacks are dark black. Contrast is great, it is a prime example of why I always wanted an OLED. 2. The Pixel density is lower but not as low as the 45” which was the final deciding factor for me. I can see what other reviewers have described while reading certain text but it’s only when it’s super small or on a white background. For me, it isn’t a big deal. I came from a 49” Samsung Odyssey G9 and after becoming tired of winging my head back and forth playing multiplayer games, this was an obvious choice. Extremely happy with the monitor. Paired with a 4090 and a i13900k, I finally feel like I’m taking full advantage of my setup! Just buy it! ... show more
