  • Don't listen to people and buy it!
Size: 34 inch (2024)
My previous monitor was a normal VA 1440p screen from LG. I took about 3 days to make a decision on what monitor to get, I knew I wanted an Oled, 240hz or more, and 1440p. I work from home and I play competitive FPS games (Apex, COD, Rainbow 6, and Overwatch 2). Let me tell you, I do not regret buying this! I have a decent rig 4080, 7950x, 32 gb ddr5 and I am still getting 200 plus frames in most of the games that I play. And if I wanted to get really sweaty I still have the option to play at 16:9 or 16:10 with the black bars on the side, given that it's an oled it doesn't really bother me. Now the image quality on this display is amazing! A lot of other reviews from people where saying that this monitor should have been 4k but at that point you won't really get the full 240hz ability, even with a very strong gpu. The monitor does have a matte finish but as you can see in the images my monitor is Infront of a window but even when my room is lit the image quality is still bright and there are no problems to view. When viewing texts I honestly don't think it's as bad as people make it up to be. You can read it plain and simple and if you are upgrading this from an old panel or a 1080 p I guarantee you it's going to look better or maybe as good. So don't let that be a point from preventing you from getting this. I do want to mention I did get this monitor on Sale, I see that LG frequently drops the price on this so I would say keep an eye but if drops below 1100 pull the trigger and get this thing! The other option if you want more connectivity (USB C display) is the ASUS PG34WCDM but you are going to be paying around 1400 usd after taxes. If you are a big baller I would say go for that one, it's beautiful. However, this one is still very good looking and the stand it comes with appears to be more sturdy and more cable manageable. ... show more

  • Decent but not amazing
Size: 39 inch (2024)
I've been scouting for the very best OLED curved, ultra wide, gaming monitor and thought this was going to be my stop. It's not. Sadly it's not because I really had high hopes for this monitor based on all the reviews. I use a Mac and a PS5 and the text isn't as bad as people say but it's not great. It's not super blurry in some cases. It's basically like old school type write text. Not horrid but for the price you expect better. For gaming it's good but it doesn't get as bright as I'd like. The curve is great for the distance I like to sit away from the monitor (about arms length). It's immersive and good for gaming and watching movies. For productivity/work it's ok but also not great. Text is where you look forward to the greatness of the display here but it just falls short and it's just a bit underwhelming for what you pay for this. Last thing - the matte finish is ok, not bad. Definitely prefer a glossy finish over this one but I can see the value in this finish for bright lit rooms. It's actually the best matte finish I've ever seen. TLDR: The brightness on this model was supposed to be superior to the previous model but it's still underwhelming. Text isn't bad but also underwhelming. Gaming is responsive, colors are decent but they don't pop, they dont' stand out. They're regular OLED level and really didn't wow me the way QD OLED Samsung/Alienware models have. My overall rating is: Underwhelming. 5/10 Would only recommend when the price drops for this ... show more

  • Text looks blurry to the point where it looks like it's forever buffering
Size: 39 inch (2024)
The good: - Gaming: Really immersive and draws you into the game. The bad: - Text: The text is really blurry looking, kina of like the text hasn't rendered fully yet but it never does. The text is not clear at all. The matte coating really makes this monitor suffer in this aspect. - PPI: IMO This 39" should be higher resolution. 1440p for this size monitor is not good enough, I could only imagine how the 45" version of this is with PPI and text. Would not recommend this monitor due to the poor nature of productivity (which is bad on this monitor due to the matte coating and PPI). The matte coating is good in a brightly lit room, it could handle the light well, and the blacks stay true black, which was impressive for an OLED but that is as far as I can give praise for this monitor. Sadly I will return this monitor and probably go with another brand that doesn't use matte coating. I thought the matte coating wouldn't bother me, but when comparing the picture quality with a qd-oled, the qd-oled wins. ... show more
