  • Excellent value for the money.
Style: Tilt Color: Silver
The monitor has so far exceeded my expectations. It’s a noticeable upgrade from my prior 27’ 1080p monitor and the PPI at 130 or so is good enough for most desktop setups. Using the DisplayPort connector yields decent response time, good enough 60hz refresh rate and no ghosting on fast moving pictures. Considering its a large VA panel, text rendering is clear and sharp, and display size is perfect for viewing more whatever work you’re doing. Color accuracy, brightness and overall sharpness is a little dubious and I would not recommend using this monitor for color critical work without calibrating the monitor first and verifying with another control monitor. Overall picture quality is very good, but it lacks the sharpness, pop and higher refresh rates of high end monitors. Gaming performance is yet untested, but i have no doubt it should be good enough for the occasional casual gaming. For the price, this monitor is an excellent value and will perform well enough for most use cases. ... show more

  • Great monitor at a great price
Style: Tilt Color: Silver
Amazing little display, works great for my home setup. I have 1 input coming from my MacBook Pro, and 1 coming from my Xbox. The picture looks great, and the screen size is almost too big for my desk! A good problem to have! I also didn’t expect this to have speakers built in. They’re good! I had bought a sound bar to attach just because I assumed this didn’t have sound. I was pleasantly surprised. I have 2 nitpicks: * it doesn’t save picture settings for the 2 inputs separately. If I’m on my Xbox and I set it to Game or FPS mode, that carries over to my MacBook on the other input. If I change it to PC mode for work, it carries over to the Xbox. * it doesn’t have HDMI-CEC so I can’t do this: turn off computer, hit power on Xbox, screen automatically switches inputs. I suppose since it’s a monitor and not a TV they didn’t prioritize that feature. Doing that works fine on other screens in our house though, so I know it’s technically possible. It gets annoying changing the input using the built-in little joystick control thingy. Overall, I would buy this again, especially at the price. ... show more

  • Fantastic Monitor!
Style: Tilt Color: Silver
I've collected a decent amount of horror and scifi movies in blu ray, 4K and HDR. This monitor is replacing an LG 29UM59a which has served its purpose well. I installed my own known great cable and had no issues. My GPU detected the new monitor and I set it for native resolution. I also set the monitor for the mode Cinema. See pics of my hardware specs because this will definitely impact your own results. My first test was finding YouTube videos in 4K HDR which are plentiful. Holy moly quacamole! The blacks are deep with a great contrast. The colors are fantastic. It's crystal clear. I don't play games so I'm not certain that 60 Hz refresh will be enough but for watching movies and general researching and writing this is perfect. All this for about $325. No dead pixels, no weird artifacts, no color bleeding - just a great picture from bezel to bezel. ... show more

  • Beautiful monitor - but not for HDR
Style: Tilt Color: Silver
This is an extremely beautiful 4k UHD monitor, which supports HDR mode - unfortunately though, HDR mode is a little, uh, "off". The colours are a bit washed out, and even incorrect, it does not do HDR "zones" like more expensive HDR monitors do. (I was a bit spoiled by an iMac and was very disappointed with how this display did it) If you play "gritty" games like Call of Duty or Quake, though, this display might be perfect for you. However, if you disable HDR, this is actually a really good display. In SDR mode, the colours are vibrant and brilliant, and very high contrast. This is a really good display for high-vibrance games such as World of Warcraft, Doom (1993) (if using a source port like GZDoom), Cyberpunk 2077, or similar games of the like. I pulled my rating for gaming down, however. While the display is responsive, the crystals do not go light or dark quick enough for really speedy action, leading to inter-frame bleeding of the darks. This isn't a deal breaker for me, but, for a buyer whom this would matter to, you might be better off putting your money into a higher quality monitor. ... show more

  • Nice 4k Value Monitor
Style: Tilt Color: Silver
I purchased this monitor to provide more screen real estate while programming. I love the utility the extra resolution brings, but it right on the cusp of being to high resolution for the size (for full utilization). Even sitting close, resolution scaling is likely required (I'm at 125%) to make okay on the eyes. The wide screen and viewing angles isn't much of a problem, however backlight bleed is noticeable along the edges at times, due to the viewing angle. This is most noticeable when in night mode in an IDE with a consistent colored background. May cause a bit of extra eye-strain while trying to read/write on the outskirts of the monitor. Regardless, I am very satisfied with the value/cost on this monitor. One thing to watch out for is that your source computer/device is able to pump out enough pixels/data to support. My work laptop is being pushed to its limits in this regard. While able to support the 4K resolution, it became unusable when trying to do 4K 60hz. Bumping down to 4K 30hz fixed the microfreezes, but does look a bit choppier. ... show more
