  • Beautiful picture, very happy thus far.
-EDIT- About 6 months in, and this is still a fabulous monitor, I couldn't be happier. It does everything well that I wanted it to do, and then some. Highly recommended. I like to read ebooks on my PC, so there are a few things that are important to me. 1) Picture quality. This monitor has a GREAT picture. 2) The monitor actually works. I had to send an AOC monitor back for refund prior to this one due to a permanent red line down the middle of the screen. So far so good with this one. 3) A "reader mode" to reduce blue light. Check. 4) High resolution. Check. 5) IPS display. Check. 6) I read comics too, so I need the monitor to rotate to "portrait" configuration. Check. 6) Height adjustable so I can put it on my monitor stand, and stand up when I want to. Check. All in all I'm very happy so far, assuming it doesn't fail like the AOC I just sent back. One odd design decision, in my opinion, is the base. It's a really wide arc of plastic, almost as wide as the monitor itself. It's not a problem, so I'm not taking a star off, but I would have preferred a more utilitarian, traditional base. The base actually sticks off the edge of my monitor stand a little. One added bonus is that you can turn off the stupid power LED on this one! Hurray! Man I got tired of my old monitor blinking at me all night. The OSD is nice, and the multiple "split screen" modes are something I've wanted for a long time. Oddly, the audio actually sounds better than the integrated sound from my motherboard. It's more clear, louder, etc. Overall, A+ so far. I really can't say enough about the picture quality. Fan-tastic. ... show more

  • Great for iMac and PS4
I wanted a 4K display that I could use as a 2nd display for my 27" 5K iMac and occasionally for PS4 gaming. This thing is great for it! I would have prefered 5K to match the iMac's resolution, but really didn't want to shell out the cash for that expensive of a monitor. For the PS4 or PS4 Pro: This is amazing. I have both the original PS4 and a newer PS4 Pro and they both look amazing on this display. The Pro obviously looks a little bit sharper with it's 4K capabilities, but the older 1080p PS4 also looks great. With it's IPS panel and HDR the colors are phenomenal. For the iMac 2nd Display: My 2017 iMac has an amazing 5K display built into it, so in a side-by-side comparison, I immediately notice a huge difference. This LG just doesn't look nearly as good. BUT, it's also much much MUCH less expensive (and a lower resolution). All of that being said, it's still a 5-Star 2nd display in my opinion because you get what you pay for and I think for the money, I've gotten what I expected out of it. Without paying 5K prices, this is as good as it gets, and it looks a hell of a lot better than 1080 displays I've hooked up. The stand is very sturdy, and I like that it has a height adjustment so that I can line it up perfectly with my iMac's screen height. The fact that it doesn't turn left and right might be a deal breaker for some, but it doesn't matter to me personally. One other thing to mention is the little single "joystick" on the bottom that you use for power, changing inputs, changing settings, etc. I saw some other reviews stating that they didn't like it. I personally don't mind it to be honest. The menu is pretty easy to navigate. It can also be nicer than having a row of buttons along the bottom because you don't have to look for the correct button, you just press the 1 button available and navigate around the on-screen menu. I just wanted to bring that up because I was nervous that it might be annoying after reading reviews, but I personally don't mind it at all. ... show more

  • The display is so clear and crisp!
We have 2 LG large screen TV's (1 LED and 1 OLED) and a LG bluray player. But this is our 1st LG monitor. We are not disappointed! Beautiful large screen monitor. Due to the pandemic we've had to work from home and what happens the 2nd week of WFH, our old monitor completely dies... Had to make an emergency order for a new monitor to keep working. The original order, for the model that was $50 less, got lost in shipping, totally understand and completely grateful to those who went to work during the height of the pandemic in the NE. Amazon provided a refund and we ordered this model instead since the other model was sold out... This replacement was $50 more but now that we've had it for a few months it is well worth it!!! Being able to lift it up and down depending on the height of the person using the computer was 100% worth the increase in price. The display is so clear and crisp. We have not used it to play games yet but playing a 4k movie on this monitor is amazing! The details are so sharp and crisp. The colors are so vibrant that we now feel like we are seeing in SD in RL LOL Being able to switch between 3 devices (2 work laptops and a personal PC tower) is so useful and helpful. We are able to keep the work laptops connected at all time without having to constantly plug/unplug and potentially damaging ports and cables. Also, we do not have eye fatigue as we used to have with other monitors... That is an added perk! Definitely worth the investment. ... show more
