  • Good value 1080 display, awkward stand
I picked this up because it was one of the cheapest 1080 displays with a 144Hz refresh rate. The stand is a bit awkward. It's reasonably stable, but the long feet on it make it take more room on a desk than necessary, and it probably could have been just as stable with a smaller footprint with a different design. I couldn't tell that the height was adjustable at first. It's strangely difficult to get it to slide when you want it to, but slides easily when you don't want it to. ... show more

  • Great monitor!
This is the first monitor that I've ever purchased specifically for gaming. I bought it after I finished building my first gaming pc, too! It came in excellent condition, and it was secure in its packaging. The assembly took me roughly 5–10 minutes, though it'll likely take more experienced people less time to construct this. I only had trouble lifting the parts because it was heavier than expected, although it was fairly easy to put together despite its weight. Anyways, more importantly, the performance. I'm mostly a casual gamer. The most competitive games I play are LoL and Apex Legends, as I prefer playing single-player RPGs and visual novels over anything else. At the moment, I play everything on high or ultra settings. I also use my current pc for schoolwork. Compared to my old monitor (an ancient LG Flatron E2350V, something that I've had since childhood), the differences are night and day. For starters, I can actually read text clearly. There's no strange blur around any of the letters or numbers on the screen, and it doesn't take centuries for the monitor to keep up with my mouse cursor whenever I'm doing tasks. On League, I'm getting a consistent 250–300 FPS, sometimes even more... and the refresh rate is in sync with that. No screen tearing or other display errors. Just constant, updated goodness. Unfortunately, I haven't played Apex in a bit, so I can't tell you how well my monitor performs with my pc on that front. When it comes to the other games I play, the visuals are highly aesthetically pleasing. There's this crisp definition to images that I haven't experienced up until now. Everything is bright and clear. It could just be my graphics card carrying the brunt of all this, but my old monitor never worked this well with my new pc, so I'm going to assume that this new one is bringing a lot to the table, too. I'm glad I made this investment. The monitor is on the expensive side, so I hope that I won't have to get a new one for a good amount of time. If you're willing to or can afford a gaming monitor in the upper price range, check this one out. I haven't noticed any errors or lagging so far, but I haven't owned this product for long. If something does happen, I'll update my review to clarify things. ... show more

  • Pretty good over-all, but viewing angles are pretty bad
The vertical viewing angles are such that you can't get a consistent picture from top to bottom no matter where you position yourself or the monitor. When I set the monitor up, I had it positioned directly in front of me the way I'm used to. But when I was playing a game that tends to be very dark, I noticed the bottom corners of the screen looked hazy (meaning blacks were more greyish, and detail that would normally be seen within these areas was lost). When I say the bottom corners, I mean about 4-5 inches in from the sides and up from the bottom. It was actually bad enough that I thought it was glare on the screen from lights in the room, but after turning the lights off I could see it wasn't. I realized it was due to a very limited vertical viewing angle. I raised the monitor up a few inches and tilted it back a bit, and the haziness got better, but also started to shift from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. In other words, there is no "sweet spot" where the problem goes away entirely. I just had to find the spot where the problem was the least noticeable. So now the monitor is up a lot higher than I would like, and tilted back so it's sloping away from me, just so I can have a decent picture. Otherwise, there's a lot to like. The menu system is great. G-sync works well. The stand is awesome, although I wish it wasn't so deep (when the stand is pushed all the way back against the wall, the back of the monitor is about 8 inches away from the wall). The supplied Display Port cable and power cable are pretty short, so I had to shift things around so they would reach. The power cable has a brick-type plug, which is good for reducing heat in the monitor, but inconvenient to plug in. ... show more

  • Great monitor with great quality.
LG has always been a favorite brand in our house. I had seen mixed reviews about this monitor. Decided to give it a shot. The quality is fantastic. 4k option works better than our TV does on 4k setting. The stand is strong and allows the monitor to move up or down with ease and will hold in place with no screws or latches to hold it. The base is the only awkward part, if you have it direct toward you it forces your keyboard to be a little further back, but then again that's a good thing because you don't need to sit that close to the monitor. I put my Xbox seriesX on it and the quality in my games has increased. The game mode options on the monitor allow for different types of games to have more comfort in viewing it. And the button on the bottom is perfect, pres it then push it forward, back, left or right to make your selection. Super easy to use and set up. I might get a second one for my wife's gaming set up. ... show more

  • GREAT GAMING MONITOR DONT READ NEGATIVE REVIEWS
THIS LG GAMING MONITOR IS THE BEST FOR ITS PRICE RANGE what I like about this monitor is the fact that you can control the brightness and audio and other settings like HDR EFFECT RTS ,ETC I currently use a omen 45L specs are RTX 3080 Ryzen 7 5800x 16g ram and was looking for the perfect monitor but found out omen was making gaming monitors too but WAYY too expensive so I just went on Amazon found this 300 monitor from LG and after reading reviews and watching videos on YouTube about specs and software features and all of that I decided to buy it what caught my eye the most it had the Nvidia g sync which of course has to be some kind of cool feature so when I hooked everything up when it arrived the quality was amazing and frame rate And LOOKS SOO GOOD WHEN RTX IS ON again I give this monitor 10/10 better the I expected I RECOMMEND IT ... show more
