  • The money is worth it for a LG monitor!
Style: 27" QHD IPS 1ms with 144Hz Pattern: Monitor
The media could not be loaded. This was worth every penny. I researched so many monitors. I wanted a 27in and a 144ghz. I looked at the PC part brands like MSI and gigabyte who often had dead pixel problems. I looked at ASUS and Acer and cheaper brands like AOC or Viotek. I also did research on LG screens and figured if phone companies and tv companies also use LG screens for their products than an LG monitor has to be a solid choice. I also needed something with multiple ports as I work from home and game and have to have multiple computers plugged into one monitor. I also REALLY liked the stand that this comes with. The bottom of the feet are grippy so it won’t slide around easily or scratch up your desk. The height adjustment on this thing beats out every other competition. Not only is it so easy to move it up and down it can also be turned vertically! My boyfriend bought the same monitor after me and the weird clip on handle in the back doesn’t fit properly but it’s not even needed to be used. You just very slightly squeeze is and it’ll lower. Otherwise going up you just lift the screen like magic. So easy a baby could do it and it’s also a fun brag factor when your friends come over! We have a 3070 GPU so we wanted a monitor that would go hand in hand with it. So far it’s been wonderful. You can really change the settings on it just through the monitor but you can even further tweak everything through the NVIDIA g-sync which is FANTASTIC! !!!!!BE AWARE!!!!! I do however want to !!WARN!! Everyone about one thing: we downloaded the LG driver for the monitor (which basically does the same thing the actual monitor button does but we were curious....) but we turned on HDR through that and it basically crashed our computers. Everytime I opened a game in full screen it would completely freeze my PC and I would have to restart it. I uninstalled the program and it still was crashing. (My bf uninstalled his and it worked fine after) I was freaking out. I went into the monitor button settings and just reset settings to factory and it fixed everything. So I’m not exactly sure what the issue is with that drive but I would NOT download it! I since have turned HDR on again through the monitor button settings and it’s fine so it was something with that driver. A 1440p and 144ghz monitor looks amazing we had fun watching YouTube videos to see the detail and colors of it. However the Home Screen was so tiny everything from the menu bar to the programs on the desktop were super tiny. Down to the font size on browsers so I adjusted my settings to make everything 110% zoom which makes my monitor look “normal” again. Otherwise those are the only settings I’ve really had to change on this monitor. I know other non ISP monitors you have to change color shading and everything to make it look good which is why I went with an IPS monitor. Also leave it on fast mode dont move it to faster ever unless you like shadowing. So far I have zero complaints. No dead pixels. Amazing build quality. Monitor feels solid and light. Easy to adjust height and vertical. Base is ingenuity. The size is perfect. It’s not curved. The settings in the monitor buttons are perfect and plenty. G-sync is fantastic. HDR looks amazing freesync works great. I also want to mention in game mode there’s a reader option which makes working from home even better. Not sure what the effect does specifically but it makes words softer on the eyes if your reading or working from home which I LOVE! Although the stand it comes with is amazing: what gamer doesn’t get a VIVO mount? This stand slides off really easy in order to mount it I was surprised again LG out did themselves on this monitor! Buy it! ... show more

  • Really Nice Monitor
Style: 27" QHD IPS 1ms with 144Hz Pattern: Monitor
After one week: this monitor is very good. I am using the DisplayPort and the G-Sync works automatically with my GTX 1650S. The audio out works good if you prefer to plug in there instead of the PC. One feature I thought I would probably never use but I found a good use for is this monitor's ability to swivel 90 degrees on its stand - play pinball! It's perfect for that. Based upon one day's usage: It's a really nice monitor in all aspects and so I'm very happy with the purchase. Great color, G-Sync works, everything gets detected and optimum settings applied in Windows and Steam games. I like the stand design also - that is one area a monitor excels over a TV. I have mostly Samsung TVs but chose an LG for my new monitor partly based on a lot of specs and reviews and price/quality ratio and such. Also, I wanted to try an LG since my in-laws have an older large LG TV that is like 15 years old or something but is 120hz and it has held up to this day with a fabulous picture and quality looking case and stand. I think this LG 2783A-B monitor is going to prove the same. If you want G-Sync compatibility, 144hz and 1440p then this is one of the best options and most cost effective options at this time I think. This monitor has no speakers but it does have an audio out port. Of course this model number is an Amazon special edition. It shows up in Windows 10 settings as a 27GL850. I had been using a Samsung 22 inch 1080p TV for my monitor and it was pretty nice and had very good speakers. Well, after having my i7 PC for 3 years I decided it was time for a refresh: NVME drive, Lancool 2 Case, LED Fan kit, 650W PSU, MSI GTX 1650 Super Gaming X, Xbox Windows 10 Wireless Adapter and this LG 2783A-B monitor. As you can imagine this all really woke up that i7 and its a completely different experience now - obviously in a positive direction. More on this monitor... The 27 inch size is really nice compared with a 22 inch one. Looking at this LG 2783A-B 1440p at a distance of 1.5 to 2 feet looks the same to me as looking at my Samsung 40 inch 4K TV from 3.5 to 4 feet away. That is very good BTW. Are you used to watching 1080p and 4K LCD TVs? Then you will be very satisfied with deep blacks and vibrant colors on this and not notice any light bleed effects - it will look as good as a nice 4K TV at a bit larger size and much better than a 1080p I can tell you that. I use my PC for CAD for 3D printing, Photoshop and gaming mostly. To me this monitor is an optimum size, resolution and picture quality for those things sitting at a desk. I tried my 40 inch 4K TV for a while and it looked as good as this monitor but was just too much screen area at such a close distance. I like this 27 better. This monitor has some pretty nice metallic red accents but unfortunately they are all toward the back so you won't actually see much of them. ... show more

  • Amazing monitor, fast and beautiful image
Style: 27" QHD IPS 1ms with 144Hz Pattern: Monitor
Almost a month using it AND have not any complain about it. Fast and beautiful image. I paid few bucks more than the price I saw it a few weeks before though but at least the monitor works amazingly. Fully recommend it.

  • Amazing Panel For The Price
Style: 27" QHD IPS 1ms with 144Hz Pattern: Monitor
Awesome colors after some fiddling. With RTINGS color suggestions and Graphics card color settings help take this to the next level. Without it colors are dull and muted. I’m using an amd card too, so with an nvidia card it should look even better. In theory. All in all it’s a fast and pretty monitor. If you can get this baby used do it. I payed 188 for a used one that apparently had scratches on the screen but my unit is immaculate. Great purchase. Would recommend. ... show more
