I was iffy this would fit when I ordered it but it did in fact fit perfectly. Packaging was great, self explanatory how to use. Plastic cover seems reasonably robust. I think if I was taking it off and putting it back on repeatedly, it’d start to come apart - but that’s not what I bought it for.

My intention for buying this was to provide protection for my expensive pool table cloth that both kids and cats don't care about. However, it also makes for a good quality working surface after placing a pool table cover over the table. If you then place a solid surface on top of that, it could make a firm, flat surface. The insert came out of the box ready for use. It is light and folds easily for storage. The stitching is good and appearance is fine, although I would use a pool table cover over it to finish the look.

This insert saved Thanksgiving for me! I used the pool table as a banquet table this year with this insert and the cover over it. We had enough food to feed an army and it worked like a charm. Highly recommend for anyone who entertains!

Fits perfectly. Folds up compact. Planing on making a plywood table top with this as the under support. Thinking 1/2” thick plywood. I’ll need to add maybe 1/4” on the insert to level it out and support the plywood even with the rails/ pockets.

Okay, so I was eyeing another pool table cover that was priced twice as much as this one, and has cup holders. Even with cup holders, I wouldn’t place such a value on this item! So I decided to gamble on this one which had zero reviews at my time of purchase. I should hit the casinos, because it’s a winner! It has the feel and fold of a preschool nap mat! And it fits my 8ft table perfectly with the cover on. Now, is the material perfectly tight? No. But, I’m not trying to play Jenga on it either, just some cards or some board games. Would I place a cup on it? Maybe- like a soda can or another 12oz type with a lid, or a mug. But not an open glass or anything tall or heavy. My overall first impression is that this is a good buy! Time will tell how durable it is. I guess we will see how it holds up to the hours of board games my kids will play.

This pad turned our pool table into a dining table. Stood up to Christmas dinner and many dinners since. I would give it 5 stars but it doesn’t quite fit all the way to the edges but it still is worth the purchase. I do use the waterproof pool table cover over the top of it.

Used this with a pool table cover over it to serve Easter dinner to 6 adults, two children and two toddlers. Just wish I could find something solid to cover the pockets without buying a full solid cover that would be hard to store. This worked out nicely without any problems or spills. Lightweight and easy to store under the table when using the table for pool playing.
