I purchased this product back in January of 2021 because someone grabbed my wife’s earphones out of her gym bag, despite her only being gone from the room for maybe 30 seconds. This is a nice gym in a nice area, but I guess criminals know that typically you get a better score from nicer areas… What is very ironic and is a bit of “just dessert” to the thief is that the headphones that they stole were PowerBeats Pro that can ONLY be charged with the case which they did NOT take. So, unless they have a case for these types of headphones they are going to be pretty useless once the charge wears off in 8 hours. Very disappointing to put it mildly. Immediately we decided that we weren’t going to make it easy for the next thief to steal from her again if she left her gym bag unattended for a very brief time. This bag can be used for many things. I can envision this being very handy when we go on vacation and for example are in the pool or at a beach. Not very practical to take your things with you while you’re in the water. Day to day my wife uses it to take her things to the gym. If you’re looking for a bag that is going to keep a very determined criminal out, then keep looking. At the risk of sounding facetious I would say look into a small safe. All kidding aside you have to balance security with portability. This bag could be defeated by someone with a sharp knife, but I believe that it is very useful for two things. The first being that it’s going to make it a lot harder to do a “grab and run” if you secure the bag closed around an immovable object — for example a fixed piece of gym equipment or whatever. Wouldn’t make it impossible, just more difficult. The 2nd thing that I am confident that it will do is to make a would be criminal think “Heck with this one — I’m going to grab the bag over there that is completely unsecured — I can grab that one and run and then at my leisure I can see what goodies I made off with”. I believe that this bag is a good balance between portability and security. As I said it will make it more difficult for a would be thief. Very few things in life, if anything, is 100% secure if the criminal is determined enough. It’s all a matter of how hard it would be to defeat the security system. In this case the thief is likely going to take a pass and steal the person’s bag next to this one that is completely unsecured. As I said my wife uses the heck out of this bag! She goes to the gym almost daily and uses it every day. Knowing her she is probably not overly gentle with it, either. After 8-9 months of heavy use there developed a very small issue with the Velcro stitching coming loose. I emailed the company (Lewis N. Clark) and asked for them to honor their 1-year warranty. They replied within a few hours and happily agreed to do so. No arguments, no hassle, just good old fashioned customer service and they NEVER even once used or tried to use the “convenient excuse” (i.e. the pandemic) as to why they couldn’t or wouldn’t be able to handle my request. I am beyond sick of hearing that. C’mon folks — we’re 18 months into this. The rest of us have had to do our best and continue to trudge along since day #1. My customers haven’t lowered their expectations of me or the company I work for one iota. It’s refreshing to see a company returning to the “old fashioned” way of doing business — cut the excuses and help the customer out. Bought this for a trip to Vegas. Used it to carry groceries, store personal items poolside and lock them to the pool lounge chair. Kept everything Dry and secure. I was able to carry several bottles of my favorite beverages ;-), Keep my cell phone and iPad dry. Locked to bag to the poolside lounge chair. Really versatile light bag. The locking feature is enough to prevent the grab and run (that we saw several times) from occurring. A thief does not want to spend time cutting the bag or strap. That said it's a light weight lock and nylon bag that one could cut open with a razor but most chiefs simply choose the grab and run ! Easy to carry in my wife purse when empty. Size is easy to adjust by simply folding or unfolding to the appropriate need. Really loved how waterproof it was. Got splashed many a times and the contents were not effected. Even got caught in a brief down pour of rain.... no problem. I highly recommend this for trips to the pool or beach !!!! ... show more

Used several times on our last trip to the Caribbean. Locked it to trees and lounge chair while in the water snorkeling. It’s large enough to hold your stuff and has wide straps so easy to carry. The Velcro is strong so it’s a bit hard to open. I was happy with the purchase. It did the job!

The same clasp/claw broke again. When I first purchase it, I thought it’s a fluke that it broke so I bought a second one. But alas. It’s not a fluke as it broke again. The bag itself is good but the clasp/lock is not. So now I have 2 of these that are useless. Not sure if they have an extended warranty to replace it? ... show more

Works well and as intended! My only gripe is that the color is not as described. I ordered based off the image of the black bag with the large white and blue logo, and received a black bag with a little red logo. Apparently that's the only varation of the black bag, and it is not represented accurately in the product pictures. This was important because someone else in the family got the same bag and I was hoping for a different color (as advertised) so we could easily tell them apart... ... show more

Going to the beach by yourself always let's you wonder where to leave your things, so that they are safe. I used to stay close to my beach chair, always having one eye on my bag. Now I walk around and never worry. For me it's a 5 star upgrade to my Beach stay! I chose the one with wider straps, as I walk a lot and it is very comfortable.
