For ref: my waist 30-31” / 38” hips. I typically wear a size 8 petite in jeans (AE, Old Navy, Amazon Essentials) I ordered a size 8 (short) straight leg and a size 10 (short) to compare the fit. Size 10 fit around the waist with a lot of give due to the stretchy denim material. The inseam for this size jean was way too long (30”inch inseam) for my short legs. The overall fit around the hips and thighs was too roomy and I could tell that this jean would stretch out too much throughout the day. So I’m returning the size 10 short. Size 8 (short) FIT PERFECTLY, the inseam at 28 inches was the perfect length for my legs. Btw: the sizing inside the pant says the jeans is a 29/30. I measured the inseam and it is 28” not 30”. The waist fit perfectly too. The rise falls at 10” right at my belly button. I would have preferred a high-rise but I didn’t realize at the time I ordered these jeans that they were a mid-rise pant. These jeans are so comfortable overall that I don’t mind the mid-rise. I was also pleased with the light wash overall. ... show more

Night Sky. That's the color name. I wanted dark blue jeans so I asked AI if Night Sky meant black or dark blue. AI told me that the jeans are a very dark blue so I ordered them. These jeans are black. A Night Sky by any other name is still black. With that said they are a nice pair of jeans. I like the stretchy fabric, very comfortable. The fit is good. These fit very nice but dear Levi Strauss a lot of your customers are middle age lifetimers with a couple children in tow or already grown and a mom pouch! Therefore, we don't like all this stretch we'd like to have nice stiff quality Levi's that hold our junk in. This is disappointing but for these jeans they are what they are stated & they are comfortable. they are a soft denim, a little bit of a smell when I open the package but that happens all the time with black jeans. Sometimes that smell goes away, sometimes it doesn't it's just part of the territory with black jeans. I'm a little concerned about the zipper it seems to work a little too easy so I may be having to replace that in the future.. not sure. I will wash these by themselves in cold water because I'm sure they will bleed some black dye and speaking of the black, they are a nice dark deep black. They'll be great for casual or even a bit dressier not like totally dressy but you know what I mean. The only thing is I will have to wear a sweater that kind of folds over so it hides the bump. I'm happy with the price for these I just wish I could find a pair that was more 100% cotton like my 501s from yesteryear. ... show more

I really love the color of these jeans, and the fit around the waist is great. I’m 5’3” and ordered the Short length, but they are still way too long on me. They are a little stretchy which is comfortable and they are soft. I was very happy with the way they fit.
