  • Beware "Classic"...
Fit Type: Standard : Water <less® jeans<i class="a-icon a-icon-text-separa...
The waist on these "Mid Rise Classic Skinny" Levi's was higher than typical mid-rise jeans and they were overall baggy in the hips and thighs, felt awkward and uncomfortable and looked like jeans from another era -- and not in a good sort of "retro" way. So, I say beware any of the styles with "Classic" in the name. Consider the following a Levi's "meta" review and a bit of buying advice. I'm a Levi's longtimer. Been through some other phases, but have always come back to Levi's. However, as many reviewers note, Levi's fit and sizing seem to be all over the place now. I've tried on all sorts of styles, sizes, and colors from Amazon (13 pairs ordered and returned this round), from the Levi's website, at Levi's stores, Macy's, JC Penny, Kohl's, Target and Walmart. It seems that the way the jeans are named, the fit and the sizing vary depending on where you buy them. Some stores even have their own lines, like Walmart's "Signature" and Target's "Denizen". On top of that, jeans within the same style are made of varying material combinations (related, it seems, to the color) which impacts how each pair fits. And, I'm not sure about this, but it seems like all styles are made in various countries, and where a pair is made can create a variance in the fit and sizing. Overall, I think this has served to "water down" the Levi's brand and deter brand loyalty as, for me personally, I can no longer recommend them across the board without reservation. I recently discovered the "Jeans Guide" on the Levi's site which provides very specific details for each style including, not just a detailed description of the fit, but the exact inches of the waist height and leg openings ( (although only some of the many styles available in other stores and other websites are in the guide). By comparing the pairs I own and love to those, I was able to figure out generally what styles might suit me, but then what I ended up liking varied greatly depending on the material / color combination. In the end, I've done a whole lot of ordering, returning and trying on to get just one new pair of Levi's that I am reasonably happy with. So, my advice: if you're new to Levi's, if buying online, you probably want to buy pairs with free returns and, depending on how much you enjoy going to UPS drop-off centers, if you're really hankering for Levi's in particular, consider shopping in actual stores, old school style. If you're a longtime Levi's lover looking for a new pair, forget your love affair with styles (and even sizes) past and look closely at the specs for the pairs you're considering and then same as above: try them on in a store or buy online with free returns. ... show more

  • Perfect Jeans!
Literally BEST Amazon cozy outfit! I’m a size 12/14, 5’9” and had a baby exactly two weeks ago 😅. These jeans are in between jeans and jeggings. A little stretch but tight and flat on lower stomach area making for great tummy shape. 😉 They say “high rise” but fit more like medium rise to me. Not quite at my belly button but an inch or so below it. I’m also tall y’all so this may be why. Slight pulling at the zipper but this is probably just because I’m postpartum and after 5 more pounds it’ll fit a bit better. ... show more

  • Levi’s for the win!!
I used to wear Levi’s back in the day and kind of strayed away from them because I felt a little too curvy for some of their slender jesns; however, these are prob the best jeans around. They’re super affordable, great quality and they compliment my toosh!! What more could a girl ask for?!

  • Perfect
Fit Type: Standard : Water <less® jeans<i class="a-icon a-icon-text-separa...
My new favorite Levi’s cut. Love these jeans. If the size isn’t right for you, then it’s likely not the pants. I recommend getting familiar with your own measurements. Finding Your Size Measure your actual waist: the smallest part of your waist, usually about an inch above your belly button—It’s the “in” part of your hourglass. Pull the measuring tape tight, but do not squeeze it to shave inches off your numbers :P. You want your pants to be comfortable. (: I took this number (27”) and added 2” to account for wanting them to sit a little lower (just at my belly button), and wanting room to breath. Thus I ordered 29s and these were perfect. (Not to complicate, but you could also slack your measuring tape, and move it to your belly button to see what that size is. It should be the same as above (waist+2). It’s science.) Note, if I order jeans that I want to wear around my hips instead of my waist (Levi’s 710s), I order 31s. I call this the 2” rule and it hasn’t failed me yet. 710s are my hip go-tos, and these high-rise 720s are my high-waist go-tos and I never have an issue with fit. Hopefully if you follow these rules, you won’t either. (: ... show more

  • I’m gonna pop some tags....
I like the jeans a lot, nice color, nice stretch, nice light weight and color for Spring. I am 208 lbs and 5’8”. I got a 16 reg. BUT, they are used. I tried them on an found half a pack of gum in the pocket. Pretty expensive pair of jeans for being used.

  • Not the same cut...
Fit Type: Standard : Water <less® jeans<i class="a-icon a-icon-text-separa...
I wanted to replace a pair of mid rise skinny jeans I purchased a few years ago. Loved them, and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the new mid-rise skinnies are not the same cut. These fit like leggings, with the bottoms hugging the ankles. If you like jean leggings, then go for it. I wanted jeans with a narrow bottom, not jean leggings. ... show more

  • Decent Jegging, but a little big and lesser quality than the Levis 721 skinny.
These were okay, much more like a jegging than a jean. if you are looking for some comfy high waisted jeans, get the Levis 721 High Rise Skinny. The same price, but seems like a little better quality. These are very stretchy, and I found that they fit decent in the legs, but were big in the waist. not terrible, but something to consider. ... show more

  • Favorite jeans
Fit Type: Standard : Water <less® jeans<i class="a-icon a-icon-text-separa...
I am 5'10" and 175 lbs, I wear a size 10 pant so I ordered 10L. They fit me like a glove. I disagree with other reviewers, while these do have some stretch to them, they are not like jeggings. They are much sturdier and more comfortable. I've also purchased the signature skinny jeans by levi, which are half the price but much less comfortable. The signature skinnies are definitely more like jeggings; they don't breathe well and are generally tight in all the wrong spots. Rather than smoothing your figure, like these jeans, they smoosh. If you're debating between the two, get these instead even though they cost more. You'll be much more comfortable. Signature: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077R7QT71/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 These also are not cut like true skinny jeans, as they have plenty of room at the ankle. To me they fit more like straight leg jeans. The levis straight leg actually fit more like bootcut to me. These are definitely my favorite jeans and a wardrobe staple. Highly recommend. I just wish all of the colors came in my size. ... show more
