I have been wearing the 502 Taper for several years and they are my absolute favorite. They can be hard to find so I am pleased that Amazon stocks them. Before, I could only find them at Macy's. These pants fit straight leg but definitely not "too skinny". The leg opens to about the size of my sneaker opening. The material has a little stretch which is also nice. Also, I put some significant wear on my 502s and they hold up very well.

I like wearing men's jeans since they have larger pockets, usually fit pretty well if you find the right pair, and the sizing is very precise (WxL shouldn't have vanity sizing issues!). I just ordered two pairs of the 502s in my usual 30x30 size, after trying them on in a store (where they did fit). The Rosefinch were way too tight - I couldn't even button them up, while the Come Closer are snug but at least more or less fit. Seems the Rosefinch are manufactured in Bangladesh and 98% cotton/2% elastane, while the Come Closer are manufactured in Vietnam and 99% cotton/1% elastane. I assumed the same line of jeans in the same brand would be consistent, but it seems Levi's has some quality control/consistency issues in the sizing. Side note: I have Levi's 30" shorts and American Eagle 30x30 jeans and those all fit comfortably, so both 30x30 502's run a bit small. I can't speak to the longevity since I just got them, and will need to return one or both.

I don’t know who Levi’s was taking feedback from when they were developing the “advanced stretch” technology but I feel like they were off target on this one. The black pair has normal stretch but the pairs marked “advanced stretch” are really rigid. My legs feel bound in them and my movement is hindered. If I do a deep squat to try and pick something up I’m worried I’m going to blow the crotch out. It’s a bummer because they are probably the most flattering fit I own. I just wish I didn’t have to sacrifice mobility for style. If I could return the panda wash pair I would, but alas I soaked them in water and wore them trying to make them more comfortable.
