Description

Close your eyes. Think “jeans.” Now open. They were 501s, right? With a classic straight leg and iconic styling, they’re literally the blueprint for every pair of jeans in existence — burned into the world’s collective cortex ever since Levi Strauss (the man himself!) invented them in 1873. To this day they’ve never gone out of style. And they never will.

  • Finally Jeans for Tall Men!
Special Size: Big & Tall Size: 40W x 36L Big Tall Color: Black
Levi’s Men’s 501 Original Fit Jeans have been a game-changer for my 6’7” husband. Finding jeans that fit well and look great has always been a challenge, but these jeans tick all the boxes. The Pros: Perfect Fit for Tall Men: These jeans fit my tall husband perfectly, something that’s hard to find. They’re available in Big & Tall sizes, making them ideal for taller frames. Great Quality Fabric: The fabric is durable and high-quality, holding up well to regular wear and washing. Versatile Style: These jeans look fantastic whether dressed up or down. My husband loves wearing them out, whether it’s for a casual outing or a more dressed-up occasion. Comfortable: Despite his height, the jeans are comfortable and don’t restrict movement, making them a pleasure to wear. The Cons: Limited Color Options: It would be nice if there were more color options available in the Big & Tall sizes, but the current selection is still very good. We managed to pick these jeans up on a deal, which made them an even better purchase. My husband has always struggled to find jeans that fit his tall frame well, but these Levi’s 501 Original Fit Jeans have solved that problem. The fit is excellent, and the quality of the fabric means they’ll last a long time. He feels confident and comfortable in them, which is a big win. Compared to other jeans we’ve tried, Levi’s 501 Original Fit stands out for its superior fit and quality. Many other brands don’t cater well to taller men, but Levi’s has done an excellent job with these. Overall, Levi’s Men’s 501 Original Fit Jeans are a fantastic choice for tall men. The fit, quality, and versatility make them a great addition to any wardrobe. If you’re tall and struggling to find jeans that fit well, I highly recommend giving these a try. They’re worth every penny! ... show more

  • Fit as described
Special Size: Standard Size: 30W x 34L Color: Rigid
I've worn 501's since I was in middle school. These seem to be of okay quality, hopefully the become a bit more comfortable when they are broken in.

  • Good
Special Size: Standard Size: 32W x 32L Color: Black Stf
These are really good pants, but are undersized on the waist. I had to buy 2 sizes bigger on the waist. The inseam length is spot on. These are very comfortable to wear. The pockets are deep. The material is durable yet not stiff. Just be aware of the small waist issue and order accordingly.

  • The real thing...probably
Special Size: Standard Size: 32W x 34L Color: Rigid
It used to be that there was only one type of 501, and now Levi-Strauss has confused matters by introducing a variety of jeans bearing the 501 label, but not having much in common except for the button fly, as pointed out by the many reviews I read here. My memory of 501s goes back to around 1960 (still fairly recent in Levis' history); and for me, their golden age was in the mid-1970s. If memory serves me correctly, that generation of 501s was cut an inch or so lower in the waist than the pair I just received, and thus they don't completely satisfy my nostalgic wish to return to my own perception of the "classic" 501. Amazon is to be commended for providing one piece of absolutely vital information about these jeans, information that, incredibly, is missing from some on-line department-store sites, which is which 501s are shrink-to-fit and which are not. Some of the customer-reviewers have clarified the situation further, for which I am grateful. The bottom line is that if you're looking for shrink-to-fit, be sure that the name or description of the 501s explicitly states that. Another customer-reviewer suggested that to get the truly "original" 501s one should only order those designated as "rigid." I suspect, however, that most of us alive today who are looking for the 501s experience of the 60s and 70s would be happy with any of those designated "shrink-to-fit," and perhaps some of them are available in a lower-cut waist. Although I doubt that anyone reading this would be unaware, I'll just review three things about shrink-to-fit: first, it must be obvious that it is impossible to order the right size if one doesn't know whether the jeans are shrink-to-fit or not; one has to order one size larger in the waist measurement and 2-3" longer inseam if the jeans are shrink-to-fit. (I usually wear 31x31 pants and thus bought this pair of shrink-to-fits as 32x34; and after a couple of washings in hot water, they fit perfectly.) Secondly, shrink-to-fit is the best way for guys to show off their "assets," some going as far as to wash the jeans in boiling water, and (after they've cooled somewhat, but still warm) put them on wet, so that as they dry they can fit the body's contours exactly. Thirdly, many of the non-shrink-to-fit Levis on the market today are made of inferior material and bear only a passing resemblance to the classic 501s, which were always shrink-to-fit. Shame on Levi-Strauss, by the way, for diluting the value of the venerable 501 brand. I need to return to the matter of the "rigid" designation. If you read through all these reviews, you'll find some customers who were taken aback by the degree of stiffness in these pants, calling them "stiff as a board." I wouldn't go that far, but I would warn customers that they are stiffer than average and thus may not be to everyone's taste; I'm sure they soften over time, however; and the initial stiffness probably contributes to their longevity, and for many it is an indication of quality. Personally, I expect that my next order will not be for "rigid," as I have a slight preference for the softer materials. This goes to the heart of the question that we are urged to answer in our reviews: "How do you use this item?" My use is for everyday casual wear, but not for heavy work. The overall quality of these jeans fits my expectations, and I recommend them for anyone looking for traditional Levis, who doesn't want to take a chance on one of the several inferior products Levi-Strauss has released under the 501 name. ... show more

These are very nice quality they are nice and firm and kind of rough and they have a nice fit to them they have a good amount of length they are a little thick but not too thick and they don’t have stretch to them so if your looking for a pair of nice quality baggy jeans I’d recommend you get these
