I purchased this as a gift for my nephews. It was a HUGE hit, easily the biggest hit of the day. It might be a bit complicated to set it up. This is not an item you just put in some batteries and turn it on. But once you get there, it is well worth it. The underwater virtual reality experience is beyond incredible. But what’s even better than the visual aspect of the experience is the narration that plays at the same time that educates the viewer about they are seeing in real time. It is beyond incredible. My poor nephews barely got a chance to use it because the adults were too busy passing it around.     • Great but a little too clever for its own good
Like many others, I found this product to be buggy. I had issues with a few activation codes not working initially but eventually after a couple days, the online tech support managed to rectify the situation. Support is only via email fyi but they are fairly quick to respond. It’s the cube that’s the problem. To get it to play a specific experience you have to be a hand contortionist because sometimes it will just load anything it wants. The experiences themselves remind me of the some of the VR that came out several years ago as the video quality is not the best but I’m more discerning because I’m an avid Oculus / Meta Quest 2 fan at the moment. I purchased the Lets Explore Oceans mega pack for my young niece and nephew for Christmas and they are under the age appropriate for any Oculus VR headsets so I went with this sort of starter VR for kids. And so for THAT, I’m rating this fairly high. I really enjoyed the animated experiences myself and my niece and nephew enjoyed pretty much all of it. So for young kids (with adult assistance and supervision) this is great !! If you are over 12, it’s time to upgrade to something more powerful like the Oculus / Meta for VR. ... show more

This is pretty cool once you get it all set up. You have to download an app and put in some codes to gain full access to all the features. I had a little problem getting the code to work at first. But eventually got it figured out. The headset is adjustable, so really adults and children can use it. Using the cube takes some practice, but overall very self explanatory. Once you get the app working and insert you phone into the VR headset the experience is awesome!!! It’s like you are right there with the sea creatures. Just don’t walk around with the headset on!! It’s actually really relaxing to watch and my 8 year old thought it was the best thing ever. ... show more

    • iPhone 13 plus won’t fit with case on
I bought this for my five year old grandson for Christmas and realized my phone was not compatible so I bought a new iPhone 13 plus and it will not fit in the holder with the case on. Do not want to take my case off and leave my phone unprotected

The first time in a LONG time they were quiet and not fighting! They took turns, and they LOVED it. So very pleased, I will definitely keep this in mind for gifting.ONLY drawback is you need a phone to make it work, so the fun lasts as long as the battery.
