It's a great monitor and a good upgrade from my old Compaq S1922 monitor which only had VGA and DVI and looked like crap. I use it as a second screen for my laptop when I'm at my desk. Haven't tried it for gaming as I primarily use my laptop's internal display for that, so I can't give a rating on how it is for gaming. Though I may eventually update my review once I try gaming on it. Still, it's a night and day comparison to the old Compaq monitor. Then again, I'm comparing a new IPS LED backlit monitor from 2022 to an old TFT florescent backlit monitor that is over a decade old and has experienced a lot of wear and tear. A more accurate comparison would be my laptop's monitor, given that I recently upgraded my laptop. And I would say that they are on par with each other in terms of screen and picture quality. The only issue that I've had is that when the monitor goes to sleep, Windows 10 moves everything that was on the second screen over to the internal display and I have to drag everything back onto the second screen, but I don't know if that's just a windows thing or if the monitor going to sleep makes Windows think the monitor was disconnected. Also, there's the fact that I can't lower it enough to be closer to my laptop's screen. Still, it's definitely worth the money. I just wish it had DisplayPort. ... show more

I LOVE the variety of the ports on the 27 inch usb-c monitor! You can also adjust monitor height, orientation, and angle. Overall, it’s a good monitor, but I returned it. I had trouble with glare and headaches, even after adjusting settings multiple times. I also realized I needed two screens for my job, and I prefer the replacement monitors I purchased. ... show more

Ordered it to attach to his laptop, so he can better view building plans, drawings etc. He's an engineer. Had a big screen desktop, and always had to transfer files from the laptop that he uses in the field and at work. Desktop died so this much cheaper and better solution, as opposed to moving files between computers to view on a big screen. And of course when there's too many grandkids in the house, it's one more screen they can watch a movie on using a laptop. Color is beautiful. (We're not gamers) ... show more

I have two laptops. A MacBook Air and an HP (for work). This monitor connects to both very well. The MacBook Air uses the included USB-C (no adaptor required) and the HP uses a HDMI-HDMI cable (not included). Both are pretty much plug and play. So easy! I love the screen size, picture quality, and brightness. I do not use this monitor for gaming. The speakers are okay, nothing spectacular. Luckily, there is an aux jack on the back of the monitor and I just plug in a small Klipsch speaker for better sound. Very pleased! ... show more
