  • Excellent monitor for exceptional price
I don't play games on my desktop computer at all. The QHD resolution at the 31-32 inch screen size allows me to compensate for my slowly declining vision. My usage is primarily for general web surfing, paying bills, and occasionally editing photographs. I also use email and calendaring quite a bit. I find the thing lacking is built in speakers, so I bought a small USB powered speaker bar for around ten bucks. Still makes this monito exceptionally great for my needs. There's enough adjustment to brightness and contrast to help compensate for my vision. Color reproductive looks great to me after tweaking settings to my liking. I would buy again if I had enough desk space! Update: 09/08/2022 The Lenovo monitor is still going strong, even after moving to a new state. Excellent! ... show more

  • More than 1080!
I have two for computer monitors and love that they have the higher resolution.

  • Pretty great.
The only gripe I have for these monitors is the mounting holes. Most mounts are made for center framing, and have a hard time fitting these monitors without the bottom resting in the desk.

  • Says it's a good gaming monitor, but really not made for all games, just the casual ones.
This is a pretty good monitor. It's a 2K and not a 4K -- sometimes the terms QHD and UHD get tossed around and it can be confusing. The resolution is 2560x1440 which is sometimes referred to as 2K or Quad High Definition (QHD) because it's almost four times the pixels as regular 1080HD. Nothing stands out in the design -- it's simple and not flashy like some of the newer monitor case designs. It's lighter than prior generations of the same resolution and it's got a good set of controls for getting the picture correct. The most noticeable issue is that this monitor has no speakers -- it's just a monitor with no sound. It differs from much of its competition in that way, and at the current price of about $300, I would expect some kind of speakers, even if they weren't superb quality since a lot of computers deliver the sound over the same HDMI cable. It's mentioned that it's good for gaming and I'd argue that's subjective according to the level of gaming that you're going to be expecting. At 75Hz refresh rate, it's better than some older monitors, but for most games 120Hz is going to be the standard. AMD Freesync is good if your graphics card is made by AMD, but the Freesync functions won't work if you have and nVidia card. You can still use this with an nVidia graphics card, but you're not going to get the adaptive frame rate and will probably notice the tearing when your game's graphics start to slow down during a graphic-intensive game. Which basically means, you're going to notice it on games with a lot of action and motion, but on simpler games without a lot of higher-end graphics settings, you won't notice much of a difference. If you have AMD graphics, then you're good to go. I didn't test the Display Port input, but the HDMI gives a good picture with a nice range of colors. The backlight is noticeable around the edges in a darker room, but it's not that bad in a well lit room. As for whether or not this monitor is a good value depends on your purposes. I'd almost definitely rule out gaming of any type simply due to the lack of speakers which means you'll need to buy something additional (extra $) for the sound, whether it's a headset or a set of PC speakers. The monitor's physical size and its resolution makes it a fair choice for an office computer because you'll have a larger workspace and can get more windows on the screen. I can't recommend this monitor whole-heartedly simply because there are better choices out there at this price-point. It's a bit too expensive for using with recent computers where even the cheapest ones can easily output a higher resolution. And the picture quality is good, but doesn't justify the lack of sound and the cost. Overall, this is a fair quality monitor at a rather high price, especially when it lacks sound output, making it a a poor choice for most gaming. It's maybe suited for watching HD movies and doing non-graphics-intensive office work with a larger desktop, but still, there are better monitors for the price. At the current $300 price-tag, I'd give this one a pass unless you found it on sale. ... show more

  • Dark fleck under screen
Great monitor. Would be five stars if not for the fleck. I love the size and form factor. I'm actually "downgrading" from a 4K 43" screen. This was appealing to me because the pixel density was pretty close to what I was using before. I like to have display scaling turned off (e.g. 100%) so having a large screen with high resolution is important to me. The pixel density is actually lower than what I was using before, but I actually like it better. Higher refresh rate (going from 30 to 75 really does make a difference). I wish it had more than two inputs. I like having multiple HDMI inputs, and stripping that down to an HDMI and a DisplayPort forced me to reconfigure a little bit. Fortunately I've moved to an HDMI KVM, so the one HDMI port isn't as much of an issue as it used to be, plus I have the DisplayPort for my old laptop dock. Another thing I miss is built-in speakers, but with the extra desk real estate I can use a proper set that sound better anyway, although it is another thing to plug into the wall. Fortunately the monitor has a headphone out, so running the speakers through that means I can just use HDMI/DisplayPort as my audio output. I don't know if it's a manufacturing thing or what, but I seem to have bad luck with large screens having flecks in between the layers. It's not a dead pixel, it's a piece of something. My last screen had this too. I actually didn't notice it for a few weeks but knowing it's there bugs me! Anyway, would recommend. The pixel density to size ratio is just about perfect. ... show more
