If you want your kids to learn to cut food and not slice their digits then this is well made and fantastic for them to learn. Just keep in mind it's not a real blade so cutting through say a bell pepper takes a little extra effort where curring a carrot or chop an onion is far easier. these work great for my toddler. she is able to help me in the kitchen more & loves chopping. they are still slightly sharp, but not enough to do any real damage. i think it’s important for her to still treat them as if they were as sharp as my knives anyway. great buy overall.
