I loved my first pair of these shoes so much that I came back and bought a second pair. I originally purchased them last year after suffering severe second degree burns on my feet, and they were one of the few shoes I could comfortably wear during my recovery. They provided the gentle protection I needed without putting uncomfortable pressure on my feet. The adjustable strap makes it easy to get the right fit, and I really appreciate that it can accommodate changes in swelling throughout the day. They are also incredibly easy to slip on and off without having to bend or struggle, which is a huge convenience. The wide toe box gives my feet plenty of room to move naturally, and the zero drop design feels stable and comfortable whether I am walking around the house or running errands. The breathable mesh keeps my feet from feeling overheated, and I like that the shoes are machine washable because they stay looking and smelling fresh. Even now that my feet have healed, I continue wearing these because they are simply some of the most comfortable shoes I own. They provide just enough protection so I do not have to walk barefoot while still feeling lightweight and flexible. I'm 54 years old and just had a total knee replacement due to RA. I have always been fashion over comfort or safety, so this style of shoe is out of my norm. But, let me just say while they are not the hottest or trendiest footwear, per say , they do the job perfectly! Easy on and off, adjustable for my swollen foot, and so comfy! I call these Troll shoes because they are so ugly they're cute! These shoes are typically very comfortable. I am only giving this style/pair 3 stars because even though they are better looking than my other pairs, and even though the tag on the inside says size 39, similar to my others, they are almost an inch shorter. My toes hit the very end. They were still just ok, but I found after wearing them for a bit, my foot cramped very badly. These shoes are true to their description of being wide in the toe. I wear an EE width and the shoe felt very comfortable. So much so that I forgot I was wearing them.
