Description

LEIFHEIT Telegant 81 Protect Plus Wall Mount Clothesline Drying Rack is an indoor clothesline to help you dry things quickly in less space. It has a collapsible design that folds up compactly, leaving behind just the towel bar and the casing above. It's clean, easy to use, and fast to install. It makes a drying rack convenient. The drying lines act like clothesline. Light items can be draped over the 8 lines, each 3.4 feet wide. Alternately, use clothespins to attach more clothes and improve air flow to speed drying time. The drying rods slide out of the casing and provide up to 26' of drying space and hold up to 44 lbs. That means even jeans can hang securely. The rods are powder coated steel rails, so they are strong and smooth and won’t snag delicate clothing or linens. Air drying clothes not only saves energy, but also helps reduce harsh wear and tear on your clothing from rough drying cycles. To use the dryer, drape clothes over the rods or pin them with clothespins. This collapsible laundry drying rack is made by Leifheit, a trusted manufacturer of thoughtfully designed European houseware products for more than 50 years..

    • Great product, fold away feature is a winner.
Size: 8,1 m Pattern Name: Single
Easy to install, takes up almost no space, a breeze to keep clean, gets the job done. What more could you ask for? My grandma in Germany has had one of these as long as I can remember and when redoing my laundry area I wanted a wall-mounted drying rack to replace the stand-up one that was always in t he way when in use. This rack holds a lot of garments for the size it takes up. I easily installed it with my cordless drill and small level and it is securely attached to the wall, no wobbling. I'm even considering getting the small version for my bathroom upstairs. It folds away so nicely it goes almost unnoticed. ... show more

    • Great drying rack
Size: 3 m Pattern Name: Single
We hang dry a lot of our clothes, and I was looking to create some extra space in our laundry room, and this drying rack was just what I was looking for. I love the fact that it folds away and is almost flush with the wall when you’re not using it. It’s sturdy enough to handle medium weight items and I also use hangers on it as well. ... show more

    • Six Stars!

Review Image by Designer Mom
This is a really clever device. We have a narrow laundry room and three athletes in the house, so lots of exercise wear that can't go in the dryer. The large drying rack holds an entire load of workout gear. Most of the time it's folded out of the way - awesome! The unit is nicely made and seems substantial. As the large rack is wide, and a full load of wet clothes is heavy, we didn't want to hang it on drywall alone. The screw holes for mounting can't be altered (it's plastic) and they're not spaced for standard wall framing in the US. Our solution was to attach a 1/4" thick board to the wall spanning the 2x4s (typically 16" o.c.) and then screw the unit to the board. It worked perfectly and we can't even see the board. ... show more

    • Nice space saving design
My daughter hang dries almost all her clothes. I had one of those floor standing scissor racks but is was constantly getting in the way as our laundry room was not designed with space for it. I was looking for something wall mounted that would retract when not in use. I ended up getting the small and large Telefix drying racks. I didn't think one was enough for all the clothes and I did not have space for two large ones - so one large and one small looked like it would do the trick. I researched the options and thought this was the best one. I read the reviews and was prepared for the substandard mounting hardware which was quickly discarded. A few drywall lugs later and I had both racks installed. I really like the telescoping design. There were some reviews critical of the plastic but I find it sturdy and have no concern about it breaking. We have had this up for several months with constant use and no problems. It is super easy to pull it open and to close it when you are finished. All in all a great find. ... show more

    • Easy to use and sturdy
Size: 8,1 m Pattern Name: Single
This is a great "clothes line" without having to string one across your garage. It's compact but when you expand all the rods, it fits alot of clothes. It's surprisingly sturdy. I fill it up with pants, sweaters, dresses that I can't put in the drying. The rods bend a little but never break. I ended up buying a second one. And very easy to install, takes 2 screws. ... show more

    • Same exact design from 25 years ago, but quality/sturdiness far less than our original Leifheit
Size: 8,1 m Pattern Name: Single
This design has been around a very long time. The original one I had on ether wall was at least 25 years old. We decided to change it, because we repainted the laundry room in white, and the original unit was molded in a darkened beige. The latest version is white in color. It is nearly exactly the same as our original (don't fix a mouse trap that ain't broken). So much so that the same mounting anchors and hardware still worked, did not have to do anything other than unscrew the bolts from the old, and then put back on with the new. 3 minutes, nice when things go easily. The only difference, the plastic quality of the new is flimsy and less dense, compared to our 25-year old model. You can even tell by weight-the old model is 3-4 times heavier, even though the dimensions are identical. The original was made in Germany. The new model indicates on the box, "Designed in Nassau, Germany" and "Made in the Czech Republic". So they moved production to lower labor and manufacturing costs, which in Germany tend to be highest in Europe. We can hope only that this new model will last also for 25 years. But I doubt the plastic will hold up over the years in the same way as the old model. Anyway, good news is that I had no work really to get it back up on the wall. ... show more

    • Great gadget, space saver
Size: 8,1 m Pattern Name: Single
Works great for us, instead of wooden floor rack that kept falling and breaking. Wide enough for big towels fully stretched. It does feel little wobbly when you hang towel, because its plastic? , but we are being careful and so far hadn’t have any problems.
