  • Super fun game with lots of content
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
I've been a fan of Lego games since the first one, Lego Star Wars, came out years ago. They've always had an undeniable charm & wit. This game is no different. In fact, even with the serious voice acting, the game never takes itself seriously. I found myself laughing at most of the jokes even though I'm not the target audience. My main concern when they announced this game was how much content it would have, since the past Lego Star Wars games have been based on 3 movies at a time. Well, that fear was totally invalid! There are 12 main story levels in the game, and between each of these, you go to hub worlds, such as Jakku or Takodana. These areas are very large and super fun to explore, although you have to wait until you beat the game to change characters at any time. Once you can do that, there are tons of collectibles to find and characters to unlock. As well as the story levels and these hub worlds, there are 6 bonus levels where you get to play as characters such as Lor San Tekka (the old man who gives Poe the piece of the map), Admiral Akbar, and other surprises. I've beaten the main story & spent some time exploring, probably with at least 10 hours play time, and I haven't even done these extra missions yet. I just felt I had to review this game because it is so much fun. Someone already said it for me, but the vehicle sections & the cover shooting are some of my favorite parts to play. They bring variety and are super fun whether playing alone or with someone. My favorite vehicle section was when I got to play as Poe in his black x-wing, shooting down tons of TIEs over the lakes of Takodana. Ultimately, if you are a fan of Lego games, or you want to start getting into them, this game will definitely satisfy you. Tons of content, and the chance to add more content if you want to purchase the season pass, make this game one of the best Lego games in years. ... show more

Overall this game brings new ideas to Lego games and that is what games different from others. I have been a fan of the Lego Star Wars in the past and I have seen great improvement. The only issue I find this game is lacking is the main hub of the game. This game seems to be pushing you from point A to point B without giving you the option to go to the hub to buy new characters, upgrades, and other stuff the original Lego Star Wars games has offered. Otherwise I love the quality, multi-builds, and especially Darth Vader! May the force be with you! ... show more

  • Best Star Wars Lego Game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
Hands down my favorite Lego game. +Actual actors voiced their characters through the game. +Flight battles are fast paced and a lot of fun +Characters are balanced and team work is constantly encouraged +You can mele, shoot, roll, and even do special moves +There is a mission where you are Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma (great fan service!) +Shooting scenes were a nice change of pace and a great welcome addition +Accurately follows the movie while adding more depth to the story with special missions like the one of Poe getting back to the base, and Han Solo hunting Rathars I had a ton of fun with this game and it has become one of my favorite Star Wars games in general just because it adds to the story while also being and enjoyable game. ... show more

  • PS3 Star Wars Lego videogame to play
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
Another fine Star Wars videogame by LEGO no less... if you haven't tried one of the renditions, you're missing out. The game puts you in the movie, and it is very enjoyable. The LEGO C3-PO could say "let go my LEGO..." at that moment in the ESB when he is hopping around holding his own leg. lol I will have to do some research on that idea. This is TFA, so I need to play it through to review it concisely. It just inspires creativity and a little humor as well. May the force be with you... TIMO ... show more

  • Character icons are too small
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
Used it for PS3 .. We love the game as of right now the only thing that frustrates me is the veiw of the characters/ships icons is soo tiny! We can barely make out who each one is; therefore it takes us a few mins to pick a character we're searching for. Very very irritating! I wish they could do an update & fix this problem!! ... show more

Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
I love this game. It's so much fun as a single player, but even MORE fun with a friend. If you liked the movie, you'll love the game. It follows the same general story, but adds some fun/quirky humor along the way, and has several side quests that introduce other characters or enhance different plot details. My fav movie, my fav LEGO game :) ... show more

Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Standard
New game with minor but good improvements to a proven formula (have played the lego games with my children since the star wars original trilogy on pc: star wars, indiana jones, lord of the rings, jurassic park... you name it). Being accustomed to the basic game mechanics, the game could have been just the same thing with different characters, but Tt games have shown they know the recipe well and how to still provide fun and the required difficult level to make an enjoyable playing experience: the right amount of repetitiveness as well as new challenges that make you come for more. ... show more

Not quite as good as the original Lego Star Wars games, but still a solid choice for fans like me.
