in general, as a big one piece fan, I'm super excited about this lego set. looks like this is going to be a series, with future releases on iconic scenes, which I'm super looking forward to. that being said, I think in general, lego's print quality isn't the best. meaning...the crooked window print, which is clearly off center with its die cutout in alignment with the print, i.e., the left rim is much thicker than the right rim of that oval window sticker in case you haven't noticed. in the grand scheme of things, it's probably okay, but for perfectionists, this bothers me. I'm trying the lego services to try to get a replacement sticker, but there's no guarantee it will align, so we'll see. I'm update once I receive the replacement sticker. other than that, i think this is a very detailed set, I enjoyed building it every step along the way. lego is much more consistent in its tolerance when it comes to bricks fitting together, and the instructions, now enhanced with the lego builder app, is second to none. if you're okay with the sticker mishap, this is a must buy for Lego/One Piece fans. ... show more

    • Massive detailed One Piece set to make the adult collectors happy
This set is clearly intended more for the adult collector than kids. The price tag alone makes that clear, but also, it has a much higher level of detail throughout the set. We have most of the One Piece sets, and the rest, while nice, don't compare to this in detail and playability. There is so much space for creating scenes, and all the spaces in the restaurant are very detailed. The build took me (an adult who own hundreds of Lego sets) multiple evenings, multiple hours per night. There are a ton of pieces here, but it wasn't ever boring. There's very little repetition in the design and lots of clever details. Nothing was difficult, and the instructions were normal Lego instructions. Very clear and simple to follow, but they do still have some printing issues. The shades of brown and black sometimes are hard to tell apart, but you can easily figure it out by looking at what pieces you have. Make sure you have room for this though - the finished set is very large! It's almost 2 feet wide and much deeper than you'd think. Many Lego sets that are open-back like this are shallow, but this one adds floor space in both front (with the spinning play feature) and in the back, so it needs more depth than many sets do. ... show more
