One of the most enjoyable builds that I've done in a bit! Looks great on the shelf, and I love the little Easter egg. It should have come with a light block for the price but I'd recommend grabbing an aftermarket one.

I had been waiting for this set to be released. I bought it as soon as it came out. I absolutely love it. Luxo is so cute! He was easy to build. Took me two days but that’s just because I was moving slow and didn’t feel like building it all in a day. I really like all the references to Pixar movies inside the ball and Luxo. I’m looking for a way to light the bulb so I can use him as an actual little lamp. This was one of the best sets I’ve built for sure. This was my first Lego build since I was a little kid. This was a fun project to work on while unwinding at the end of the day. There are 3 main parts separated into 4 bags. On day 1 I made the ball, day 2 the base of the lamp and day 3 the body and top of the lamp. Each part took me about 45 minutes as I was watching tv and hanging out with my wife. If a rookie Lego builder like myself were to sit down to do this with a high focus and no distractions I think it’s safe to assume this build could be finished in less than one and a half hours. I recommend this build for any Pixar fan that enjoys these kinds of things. ... show more

The ball is the star (no pun intended) of this build. It contains micro Pixar characters built into the center of the ball. Cute little Easter Eggs for future enjoyment. The lamp was a shaky build but came together on the first try
