One of the most enjoyable builds that I've done in a bit! Looks great on the shelf, and I love the little Easter egg. It should have come with a light block for the price but I'd recommend grabbing an aftermarket one.

I had been waiting for this set to be released. I bought it as soon as it came out. I absolutely love it. Luxo is so cute! He was easy to build. Took me two days but that’s just because I was moving slow and didn’t feel like building it all in a day. I really like all the references to Pixar movies inside the ball and Luxo. I’m looking for a way to light the bulb so I can use him as an actual little lamp. This was one of the best sets I’ve built for sure. If you love Pixar movies or know someone who does, I highly recommend this! ... show more

This was my first Lego build since I was a little kid. This was a fun project to work on while unwinding at the end of the day. There are 3 main parts separated into 4 bags. On day 1 I made the ball, day 2 the base of the lamp and day 3 the body and top of the lamp. Each part took me about 45 minutes as I was watching tv and hanging out with my wife. If a rookie Lego builder like myself were to sit down to do this with a high focus and no distractions I think it’s safe to assume this build could be finished in less than one and a half hours. I recommend this build for any Pixar fan that enjoys these kinds of things. ... show more
