High quality material, official Lego. It is washable. This will definitely last more than one school year and still be in great shape. We have two, one is two years old and still in wonderful condition from being used as a backpack the first year and now a backpack to carry his Lego blocks places. Zipper is great quality and no issues getting stuck. It is plenty big enough to carry a lot of things. My son says the straps are comfortable and they do have slight padding and a buckle to go across the chest to keep it in the right position. Functions well. The backpack came within a reasonable amount of time, and the quality seems to be pretty good overall as except it only has one outside pocket and unfortunately it’s mesh. My son takes a water bottle to school and this is the only option for the bottle. Unfortunately the mesh is torn easily and now he is on the verge of becoming useless with all the rips and tears.
