With a belt these are ok. I have a pear shape so my waist is a smaller size than my butt, hips and thighs -so I always have to size up or else the pants won’t easily go past my thighs. With a belt, these are pretty comfortable. I really like the full size pockets that can fit my whole hand or a phone. And they don’t smash my butt uncomfortably flat like some other brands (Amanda from Gloria Vanderbilt are the worst for butt flattening-and a huge waist gap!). The fabric is stiff, but I like how sturdy these jeans feel and I like that they stretch after wearing for a bit because I loathe restrictive clothing. The jeans fit me. They are definitely relaxed fit in the hips and legs. Almost too much so, but I have only tried them on and have not washed yet. They are a bit short for me, only 31. I need a 32 but the next available length is 34.

Based on previous comments I ordered a size larger than normal and they fit perfectly. I ordered a black pair and they were great. I also ordered a Verona blue pair and noticed a white line down the side. I determined it’s where the dye did not fully penetrate the outside seam. Hallelujah! Finally, a pair of jeans that fit, but gave it a 4 because even ordering a size up to an 8 because it's tight at the waist. I'm 5'4" and midrise for me is about a 30, so the size 8 is more likely a 28, but the length is perfect. They are flattering and comfortable otherwise, but I like tucking my tank tops inside my jeans, so I need a little more width. I'll be buying another pair, but going a size up to compensate for the waist. Update: I received the 10 and the fit is perfect. These are the very first jeans I've bought online that are exactly as they look. I've been looking online for nearly 3 years to find a pair of jeans that fit my body type and nothing's come remotely close. I have a short torso, so midrise makes it look longer.
