First...the facts. I ordered an 18 (and received an 18W). I am a 5' 6" ample mature grandma of 192 pounds. While I used to have a trim hour glass figure, my sands have definitely shifted as I've matured to where I am more apple than hour. My waist is 37 at narrowest but close to 38-39 when I take in some apple. My hips are 44 to 45. My thighs are muscular (I walk a lot). I LOVE these relax fit jeans. The waist is a bit loose, but when I sit it shifts and allows me ample room in the seat...something I struggle with a lot of jeans when sitting...binding in waist and seat when sitting. The thighs are also roomy (though I could even allow a bit more room) and the material so soft that I have no binding on achy joints while moving or sitting (which I do for long periods as I sit a lot in my work). They feel like butter on they are so soft. Edited to add: these jeans mold to you throughout the day and almost feel weightless. I came back and bought 2 more 18W...all three made in Egypt...and one identical to the first pair in fit, slightly loose at waist, while the third is an exact fit in waist, thigh, and rise. These jeans are very comfortable, even generous in the backside, for curvy ladies. The only issue I have is there is a spot on the front next to the zipper that is frayed, and looks to become a hole. Because they fit so well, and I had already washed them and removed all tags when I found the weak spot, I sewed up the hole rather than returning the pants for another pair. Just inspect your new pants carefully before washing…but these are very comfortable (and I didn’t want to risk getting a different pair that doesn’t fit me so well!) ... show more

I normally would give Lee jeans 5-stars. I have purchased Lee jeans exclusively for the past 20+ years. They have been the frustration-free jeans. The sizing and fit were perfect every time. Until this year. I compared the jeans I bought this fall with two pairs I bought last year. Same style--relaxed fit, straight leg. Same (marked) size--16W. The new jeans are almost a full size smaller. The width through the hips is narrower. The width of the legs is a tight fit not straight leg. The length is also longer. ... show more

I hate buying clothing online. You just never know... But these jeans fit perfectly! The material is so soft. Fitted, but not tight. Fits the waist and thighs nicely. Color is true to pics. Would buy them again - in a different color.
