I ordered this item for review without checking the value. After receiving it, I went to check the price and thought "wow, this thing is an overpriced gimmick.". After playing with it for literally over an hour, I realize it's not overpriced, and it is not a gimmick at all. My wife and I were actually having fun playing with it and going through the vast number of preset images that come with the app. I would not suggest using this in the car as a display with moving text or images. It will become a very big distraction for other drivers. Static images and text would be a much safer idea. This device is powered by a USB A port. It has an attached cord with a button on it. The button switches between display modes. It is controlled by a very simple to use app that is specific to these devices by this company. Once you power up the display and run the app, it finds it instantly. No searching or anything. No accounts to create. It just simply works. The app comes preloaded with a ton of animated and static images to choose from. It also has a custom text mode that includes emotes. You can also select music mode and either play music from your phone's storage or capture sound using the phone's microphone. I wish there were a way to use whatever is already playing on your phone, like Spotify or something, but the music has to be played by the app. Such a bummer. The frequency levels are displayed on the LED matrix. The build quality and materials seem to be amazing. You can literally roll the LCD matrix up and stick it in a cluttered glove box. It takes up almost no space. It does come with quite a bit of quality adhesive strip if you wanted to install it somewhere permanently. Such as a car window. This thing is very bright. I found it uncomfortable to watch at full brightness at a close distance. It is bright enough to be seen in full sunlight, maybe even through a tinted window. This isn't some cheap LCD matrix display. Overall, I am very impressed with this item. It's much more than I had expected. I think it's worth the price due to the build quality and the custom app. You can even create your own animated and static images to display on it but that's more involved than I dare to go, but it is possible.

I'd like to first say that more options in the app would be fantastic but not exactly necessary. Ok, so I love this sign. You can do soo much with it even with the limited options in the app. Use default designs, create your own, have the image/text move up down left right, change colors, it's very useful. My biggest issue is that the cord it comes with is not long enough to use in a logical place, I needed to buy a usp adapter cord that was longer in order to use the sign where I wanted. The front of the sign also just sticks to glass as long as it's clean and it's a pretty solid stick. Overall it's definitely worth the purchase.

This LED panel is really fun and lets you send messages and images from your phone to the display, with some options as to the direction messages scroll. There are some cute pictures (my favorite is the frog) included. The instructions are adamant that you must only use certain types of power sources, or it will not function properly. The best bet is probably a basic power bank. The hangup for me is the number of steps it takes to change the message in the display. I had thought it would be neat to have it in the back windshield and be able to quickly display "Thanks" when someone lets you merge in front of them, but that isn't practical if you don't have a copilot operating it. In the future, I'd love to see something like integration with Siri, so you could just say, "Siri, thank that driver," and it would display "Thanks" for a few seconds. Currently it makes most sense as a more static sign, like to display the name of the company you do gig driving with. That said, I think it would be great to use in other, non-vehicle environments, such as on a bedroom or office door to inform housemates that you're in a meeting, or napping, or whatever. As long as you come up with a good way to mount the display and the power source, you really can do anything you want with it.

I got this so I have a sign on mu vehicle that says what rideshare I'm working with. That way people can find my car quicker and I can find my pickup quicker. When they see the sign they start waveing at me, it just makes it easier for both parties involved. I'm so glad I found this, and it's so easy to use.

I really really love all the different designs and customization options you have with this LED strip. The app takes a bit of getting used to and you have to dedicate some time if you want to display some more complicated designs that are stock options in the app. If you want to just display text, that's easy enough to accomplish.

After a mild fit of road rage, I ordered this to express my feelings to the next person who decided to tailgate me through the carpool lane. Mean People Suck was my plan. Then I cooled off but had placed the order, and I am glad I didn't cancel it. This is very thin, and as I have a USB outlet near the back window, I have the perfect spot for it. Well, if I ever put it in my car. We are all having a great time creating messages for each other. The colors, the designs, and our creativity have been let loose! Once we put it in the car, there will be some rules set down, but for now, it is free for all to try patterns and colors and make each other laugh. It was an excellent purchase for our whole family.
