I matched these with the Z-frame knee braces and it was a perfect match and great quality that I have come to expect from the Leatt brand. Another buyer had mentioned that the shorts did not fit well with his knee braces, but my setup mated up and fit perfect for me. I'm 6'1" 210lbs and the large/xl fit perfectly. These are way better then another similar pair I tried that were tight and itchy. I use them for enduro style trail riding. They help keep the bruises down. Not fully but they help for sure. I usually use a pair of boxers under them to help keep them cleaner since they say not to put em in the washing machine or dryer. This is pretty common with all my riding gear. I usually fill a small trash can or bath tub full of water and some laundry soap also a rinse tub, before I ride and then when I get back I throw everything in for a few dunks. I then hang dry everything for a day in a spot that doesn't get intense sun for too long. ... show more

Update: Important to nite these are not compatible with articulated knee braces/pads. Even if they are Leatt brand, which mine are. The pads over lap the thigh armour pad and create an uncomfortable situation. Original review: I am 5' 8" 175lbs with around a 32-34 waist depending on the garment. The Medium fit me perfect, form fitting enough to stay in place with a pair of boxer briefs on under them to keep they clean. They need to fit snug so the armour doesn't shift out place, but they fabric is soft and breathes great. Very high quality, would order again for sure. ... show more
