I bought these to use with my Daisy Girl Scouts. They loved all the stencils. Unfortunately, the dirt puck took forever to rehydrate. I have done 2 other brands and in both of them, the pucks rehydrated within 2 mins. This kit took over 10-15 minutes with the girls actively scraping layers away.

Returned. The photos show the tin planter as close to 12 inches or so. This thing was SO small - maybe 6in across? Completely falsely advertised, and my fault for going by photos and not looking at the description. I had bought it for a birthday gift and had to return and scramble to get something else. My daughters really enjoyed painting their flower pot and watching the seedlings grow. For us we seem to have only gotten the Marigolds to germinate and only 3-5 seem to have taken off. I don't believe the girls planted them wrong, nor do I believe over or underwatering was an issue. I don't know how old seeds are when purchasing kits like these, but seeds to have an age, even if sealed. Either way, the girls' excitement is real when they see the sprouts growing. I would recommend this again, but also may keep a fresh set of flower seeds on hand "just in case" you need some fresh life. ... show more

It's cute and comes with everything you may need, BUT there were zero morning glory seeds and the aster didn't do anything. Marigolds are started to bud at least, so my little guy isn't entirely disappointed.
