  • A fun and insightful way of exploring leadership concepts
“Leaders Assemble” is a fun and insightful way of presenting leadership lessons through superheroes. It breaks down how different characters lead their teams and handle challenges. It connects their actions to real-world leadership concepts and presents leadership theories in easy-to-understand and relatable ways. • Definitely worth the Read!
Despite the need for leadership becoming more important in the world today, there are not too many contemporary connections that can combine theory with popular culture. This book stands strong at repositioning one of popular culture’s most prominent movie series with practical leadership theories and applications that we use in the world today. It would be great to see this type of literature continue (with new texts and new leadership theories) and evolve alongside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. ... show more

  • Fantastic Book
An excellent book in a wonderful pop-culture series on leadership. The authors have done a brilliant job of using the MCU characters and situations in explaining leadership concepts and theories to the reader. Even a reader not particularly well-versed in academia will be able to read this book and understand the essence of effective leadership. ... show more

  • User-Friendly
I read this book because Gordon is my son-in-law! As I told him, I am very impressed. He melds studied, academic research to anime in an engaging and relatable manner. For 90 pages of text he provides over five pages of references; so a lot of researched information is presented. Even without familiarity of Marvel characters, I was able to follow the stories and learn leadership concepts. I recommend this book. ... show more

  • A great and interesting read about leadership
I was unsure how I would like the approach the authors took with this book on leadership. I was somewhat unfamiliar with the world of Marvel Movies and Comics but had heard about them. This book presents many powerful ideas about leadership( e.g. managing conflict, dealing with power, leadership transitions, and mentorship) The chapter on teams is exceptional and worth the price of the book. It is well researched yet very layperson friendly. Bottom line, as one who has written a lot about leadership, I learned a great deal. I will now make myself familiar with the "Marvel Cinematic Universe" (MCU) and look forward to my own leadership/learning journey. Thanks,a great read.Pat ... show more
