  • Assembly
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
A very good cart for my 9.9 Suzuki outboard. However assembly is a bear because of the huge slotted head screws with compression nuts on the other end. I understand it makes for a sleeker design, could’ve been assembled in a third of the time. Slotted screws and pennies should be outlawed. Need to have relevance in a modern world ... show more

  • Wanted an outboard stand, but got (and am returning) an incomplete, unsolvable puzzle.
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
Instead of receiving a new, well-made and ready to assemble outboard motor stand, I got a shelf-worn, previously opened box containing parts that (with talent, additional tubing, a well equipped metal shop and a can of spray paint,) could be used in the fabrication of a complete, functional and new-looking outboard motor stand. Seriously: What I received (and am returning) had evidently been previously returned and/or scavenged from, and the box's contents were not confirmed before it was resealed with clear packing tape. Some of the frame's steel tubes were scratched, and they were either very old or had been wet, as they were already rusted inside. The woven strap was crumpled and soiled with dirt, grease and/or -- I don't want to guess. No parts list, instructions, customer support number, or even images of the stand were included inside or on the box. Disappointed but still undaunted, I searched YouTube and found that "Leadallway" has a channel there, featuring some modestly helpful assembly videos. I chose the video for this (15-30 hp motor) stand and, playing it in slow motion and pausing to follow it, began to assemble what I had, threading the nuts onto the screws with my fingers only. This long and careful effort revealed that one very major part was missing, others were duplicated, and others were so poorly made (...or wrong for this model) that I couldn't even begin to get them together. I thought about getting the metalworking tools out, but then came to my senses. I'd come here to buy a product, not another project. Photos: 1) Just purchased and loosely assembled incomplete "Leadallway" outboard motor stand (for 15 to 30 hp motors,) showing (missing) lower crossbar & misaligning side braces. ...Pictured behind redundant parts mistakenly delivered in Leadallway box (extra handle crossbar and extra axle spacer on floor,) & in front of (worn, (& water damaged?)) Leadallway box and (new) Amazon shipping box. 2) Crumpled, soiled strap and misaligning side braces -- bolt holes are multiple inches apart. 3) In dry bathtub for best contrast/visibility, plastic bags which steel tube frame parts came wrapped in. Reddish "stains" are rust from inside tubes. ...I'd kind of like to give it more stars because it looks like it'd be very sturdy and durable if it could be fully assembled. ...But since it isn't all here, can't be put together as I received it, and the person or people who taped that already opened box closed thought... Well, just what did they think? -- That I wouldn't notice anything wrong?! ...One star. ...Very disappointing! ... show more

  • Good Quality - Horrid Instructions
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
Four star quality and functionality with zero stars for the terrible instructions leaves the two star rating. After the frustration of getting this stand properly together, I am pleased with it. I do wish the wheels were a little bigger, but overall, it is more than strong enough to carry and support my 12 hp outboard. I've dealt with bad instructions of Chinese made products numerous times in the past, but these are likely the worst ever encountered. Assembly really should not be as difficult as it turned out to be as there are not an overwhelming number of parts, but the instructions are devoid of details, especially which bolt size length to use where. Also, the handles are marked L and R, but are you looking back to front, or front to back? I got it wrong the first time and had to disassemble nearly the entire assembly to reverse the handle arrangement when finding on the final step the last piece was not going to fit. I suppose a higher rating could be justified as once you do get it together, it is a decent product, but the bad taste the assembly process left me is difficult to dismiss at this point. ... show more

  • Solid Motor Stand, Crap Instructions.
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
The instructions that came with the stand are rubbish, almost no help at all. Luckily I'm brilliant and it only took about 30 minutes to correctly put it together. My particular stand had the right handle marked left and left was right. The handles should be angled outwards, not in. You're welcome.

  • Serviceable Stand, Assembly Tips 15-30HP Stand
Color: Wooden-15 to 30hp U
This is a perfectly serviceable stand that you will be happy with as long as your expectations aren't too high. I bought it to be able to easily move my 9.9hp outboard around the garage and into the driveway, and it serves that purpose well I would not use this stand on sand or gravel, or for carting your engine long distances. And I probably wouldn't use this stand for a 20 or 30hp engine either. If you're looking to use it for those things you shouldn't be looking at this price point. This is poorly manufactured for weight bearing. While the V irons are substantial and bear the weight of the axle, the uprights are not fully supported because the assembly holes will not line up at the U shaped piece on the front. In order to make it fit you have to keep all the bolts very loose to give you the slack necessary to make all the holes line up. Once you do you'll see that the uprights are not fully cradled in the V irons. As a result, the weight is borne less by the V irons and more by the bolts through the thin wall of the tubing. This is why I wouldn't put anything much heavier than a 15hp engine on it. Tips for assembly: There are three different lengths of bolts, two of which are so close that it isn't apparent when you have hardware laid out. 4 short bolts for the V Irons 10 long bolts 4 extra long bolts for the wood board The long bolts and extra long bolts are so close in size that you can mix them up so try testing them through the wood board and the upright tube. Only four of them will fit through with enough thread left to screw on the nut. As you're assembling it leave everything super loose; do not tighten down any of the nuts. You'll need everything loose so that you can get all the holes lined up. If you even "hand tighten" the nuts you'll run into a problems later. Just thread the nuts on the bolts enough so that they don't fall off. Then when everything is together you can go back and tighten everything down. ... show more
