I bought these for my son‘s 40th birthday, to go along with a beautifully engraved Waterford crystal liquor decanter. I searched everywhere for nice Old fashion glasses to sit together on a silver tray. Unfortunately everything seemed to feel like molded glass rather than cut crystal. Even the Waterford crystal glasses at $100 apiece felt like molded glass. These glasses are just as nice as the Waterford crystal ones and beautifully match the design of the Waterford crystal decanter. I had purchased other glasses on Amazon and returned them because they felt even cheaper. So all in all I have to say these are beautiful glasses for the money. Over about 10 years I broke several matching glasses and have always found them perfect. I have relatively small hands and these are just a bit smaller than others that claim to be the same size, with a slightly thinner diameter and edge. I also like that they have subtly fluted sides and I like the design--the lower part of the design "cuts" are often longer in similar glasses. Most amazing--these are made in Italy and arrived in perfect condition in spite of extremely thin packing--congrats to Amazon and UPS in this case. ... show more

Now that I have them (bought them as a Father's Day gift for my husband) they are great as they: 1. Has nice weight in the hand; 2. Look classy when empty and filled; 3. "Sort of" match the expensive crystal decanter I bought him for his bourbon, and 4. They really do great in the dishwasher. My husband loves them! He enjoys using them in the evening, sipping his best whiskey or gin. These glasses are top quality.
