Why did you pick this product vs others?: I REALLY LOVE LeCreuset - it's a lovely product, and the Cerise color just pops where-ever you use it. This is an unusually shaped serving dish, and the actual-in-hand appearance of it does NOT leave you disappointed! It is spectacular - being both formal and informal due to the oval shape and off-centered-ness of the piece. If I had room for another, I'd buy another one. The debut for my piece was an informal Mexican theme - PERFECT. Second use was for a Father's Day brunch, filled with a special cream cheese-tomato chutney-avocado oil dip and a variety of "stupid fancy" potato chips. The LeCreuset serving ware was the pop of color on a gold themed table. SNAZZY! There is ample room for dip, and the depth for a decent ring of chips is excellent -- it's not just a shallow dish. Get one before they become collectible pieces and you can't afford them. Ease of cleaning: Soap and water and dish drainer was easy enough for me. My hands are a bit old and weak, so I did need to pay attention while I was holding it, wet. It's dishwasher friendly, but I prefer to handwash things like this. Quality: It is the heavy LeCreuset that we all love. Feels great - looks great - it says, from the table, "I am SPECIAL!" Size: Ample for 10-20 people and dimensions that make it easy to refill -- no having to squeeze anything into a small space - the dish is deep enough to hold chips and dips in without spilling Color: CERISE - can't get better than cherry red! ... show more

This is an incredibly versatile piece. It is great for charcuterie or chips and dip. It is also great to fill with ice and serve shrimp/seafood. Check measurements because it is a big piece. The 24 oz cocette fits perfectly in the middle. I got lucky and mine was not damaged in transit. Beautiful color, versatile piece. LOVE IT ... show more

This WILL arrive broken. Mine was in 10+ pieces upon arrival. There is literally no padding of any kind in the box from the manufacturer which seems pretty dumb for a $100 chip bowl. Waste of time and effort.

The Marseille blue is deep and glossy and looks far more expensive than a typical serving dish. The oval shape fits a crowded table better than a round one, and the dip well is deep enough to hold a real amount without constant refills. The weight keeps it from sliding while people scoop. Le Creuset stoneware, fabulous! This is a piece that is wonderful to take to gatherings for chip and dip. I love the oval shape and the color is a nice contrast for a variety of foods. I added the covered cassoulet. Just perfect!

The pictures looked lovely. Unfortunately it arrived broken. No problem returning for a replacement. The replacement also arrived smashed. No problem returning the replacement. At that point I gave up. You can’t put ceramic/glass in a box without any sort of padding and expect it to arrive in one piece.
