I've always been more budget conscious and wary of "paying for the name", or what my Dad lovingly refers to as "the idiot tax", but I'll always make an exception for Le Creuset. Put simply, it's worth it. They're just quality products, and this stoneware is no exception. There's a reason people argue over these as inheritance. It feels solid without being heavy, and has the heft associated with "well made". The color is perfect for our decor and the chip resistant enamel coating makes it safe for stainless utensils. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and as functional as it is stylish. Generally I like to keep my counters clear and tidy things away in cupboards. I was a little hesitant to order this spoon rest because of the price, but I’m glad I did—it’s a great size! It easily fits larger spatulas, and the quality is excellent. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but that makes sense given its size. So far, I haven’t noticed any chipping, and it feels sturdy enough that I don’t expect it to chip in the future. I also love that you can color-coordinate it with other Le Creuset products—I have the matching teapot and silicone spatula set, and everything looks beautiful together.
