I've always been more budget conscious and wary of "paying for the name", or what my Dad lovingly refers to as "the idiot tax", but I'll always make an exception for Le Creuset. Put simply, it's worth it. They're just quality products, and this stoneware is no exception. There's a reason people argue over these as inheritance. It feels solid without being heavy, and has the heft associated with "well made". The color is perfect for our decor and the chip resistant enamel coating makes it safe for stainless utensils. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and as functional as it is stylish. Generally I like to keep my counters clear and tidy things away in cupboards. This lives on my stove top so it is ever at the ready when I am cooking and need a place to put the stirring spoon. It is light weight, and takes up almost no space. Good value and of course, it's a breeze to clean. Just dunk it in the suds and rinse.
