This is definitely the best style of champagne bottle opener available. It is basically one solid piece* with no moving parts, so I can't really see any way that this would ever break. It makes opening bottles much easier. We drink a fair amount of sparkling, and this tool is definitely worth it. It may be a little over priced due to the brand name, but it is something that I only have to buy once and I fully expect this thing to outlive me. *one note, the only possible way that this opener could 'break' is if the plastic logo were to pop off the top. That hasn't happened to me, but it could be possible. The black plastic part on top also shows the logo, so if the name brand is important to you, be aware that. So far, so good. The quality is immediately obvious. The functionality, I can't say with certainty because I've only had two bottles I couldn't open. But when I tried this, both times it was surprisingly easy. If you have arthritus or loss of strength, this will make you feel like Goliath without even trying! ... show more

This is the third time I have purchased this item because it is so good. I end up giving it away to friends. It makes opening a bottle of champagne, sparkling wine, or Prosecco as easy as a simple twist. Even with arthritic hands, I can open wines easily.
