The instructions suggest using an impact driver, but a drill can substitute if you have two people installing. Unless you are using brackets (not provided) or some other mount, you do need to use a drill and not just a screw driver. I’m honestly surprised by the quality of the materials, the particle board is thicker and sturdier with a better veneer than most big box store flatpack furniture.

Overall I love the shelves. They look great and hang well, holding a decent amount of weight. I'm not a big fan of the screw holes for the backsplash being somewhere visible and feel like they could be put behind the actual shelf also the shelf portion was labeled in red sharpie to designate its part number but on the visible portion which was rather unfortunate.

Wouldn't pay $50 for these. They are cheap and not very sturdy. They have actual stickers to cover screw holes. Disappointed.

I thought I would love these but they are just okay. I wanted to put them in a main area of my living room but have decided the bathroom would be a better area for them. I don't love the cheapy feel of it with the sticker looks to cover the screw holes. The covering of the wood looks fake from a distance. They do hold a decent amount of weight and were pretty easy to put together. They do look really nice in the area that we have them. I'm just a little sad that I couldn't use it in the area that I wanted to.

These standard floating shelves are easy to install and look great in almost any setting. They help my home feel decorated and allow me to add personal touches easily. I really love them for my home and will be purchasing more in the future for other walls and rooms throughout my home.

I expected more as a set of two floating wall shelves at this price range. The combination of white and brown colors for a finish is a little tricky. It needs assembly; the distance and places of the holes could be more comprehensive so both could be set within studs. The holes are in the middle part where they can be seen. The front screws that hold the shelves on the wall do not sit flush. Assembly took me half an hour. In the tools bag, there were three screws instead of 4, so I had to use a spare on mine. I had every needed tool, level, screwdriver, and drill with different bits for wall anchors and studs. Overall, it looks good if you hide the screws behind decorative objects. I would not put any heavy things on this shelf since half of it is not held by studs. If you have a concrete wall, then you are good.

These aren't worth it. Just partial board with a vinyl veneer and pre-drilled holes that aren't far enough apart to drill into studs and stickers that don't match. It took me a couple weeks to decide whether it was worth putting the holes in the wall or not. My husband was upset with me when I finally did, and I think he was correct. For the shelf to sit flush on the wall the shorter screws have to be over screwed. I altered the shelf to fit for the screws to reach into my studs by turning it into a coat rack with a shelf so the pre-drilled holes would be hidden by the hooks. It still feels flimsy so I wouldn't recommend putting anything with a bit of weight in the shelf. I'm kicking myself for not just making the same thing with a couple boards out of my garage for a nicer look, stronger hold and only the cost of some screws. The only saving attribute of these boards is that they are packed well, the instructions are easy to follow, and it comes with all the parts ready to go.
