I've bought several sets for my rental properties in the past 6 months and am generally pleased. Even if they don't last forever, the price is hard to beat. I opted to purchase 128mb memory cards which allow playback of stored footage without paying a monthly service fee. Set up is fast and intuitive. The power cord can easily be run thru walls to reach a convenient and secure electric receptacle. The wifi signal reach is far better than the 20ft advertised; I have mounted some cameras outside 60ft away from my router with no issues. And the app is decent, but a bit of an experiment since instructions are sparse. But they do have quirks which some users may not tolerate. First, the night recording is very dark in all settings, especially in low light. Other brands provide far better infared night vision. Second, the motion sensitivity is too touchy and can't be lowered effectively via the app. Bugs flying by will trigger an alert to your phone. And third, watching playback footage stored in the memery card can be frustrating because the camera can be set to either record motion-activated episodes of about 3 minutes each, or non-stop recording, but that's it and each setting has its drawbacks. As mentioned, the motion activated setting is likely to send false alarms to your phone. Conversely, the non-stop recording setting doesn't highlight any alerts whatsoever so you have to scan thru ALL footage using an app which doesn't allow you to fast scan or jump ahead in logical increments. I am hopeful the app will be updated to address these shortcomings. Lastly, the seller is a bit shifty. If you leave a bad review they'll hassle you. ... show more

Installation was easy, and picture quality is excellent. I bought a pack of 4, which I replaced two old cameras and installed to two additional places. Picture quality is clear and crisp, and installation was surprisingly simple and intuitive. Overall, I thought it was a good value.

I recently upgraded my home security system to the LaView 2K Security Camera Outdoor with Color Night Vision, 3MP Wired Cameras for Home Security, IP65 Waterproof Camera, 24/7 Live Video, 2 Way Audio, Cloud Storage/SD Slot, Compatible with Alexa (4pcs). I have been extremely impressed with these cameras, as they have delivered excellent performance beyond my expectations. The installation process was incredibly straightforward thanks to the simple instructions provided. The cameras are very easy to mount with just basic DIY skills and tools. They are also super durable with the weatherproof casing and IP65 waterproof rating. The live video footage is incredibly clear and detailed, thanks to the 3MP resolution and wide-angle lens. Even at night I can see everything clearly thanks to the advanced color night vision feature. I also love that I can monitor my property remotely through the companion app and receive instant notifications if suspicious activity is detected. The two-way audio function is also fantastic, as I am able to talk to family members or strangers from anywhere. Additionally, I have the flexibility of storing my footage either in the cloud or on the included Micro SD card – whichever suits my needs best. Finally, I am happy to report that the cameras are compatible with Alexa and other smart home devices. This means that I can control the cameras with voice commands or connect them to my home automation system. I like the picture quality, night vision I don't like - the bright blue light drawing attention to the camera at night - no human detection feature - getting footage of the SD can from the app can only be done by two time revising which is very time consuming - no online option to review our view camera activity and notifications - recording options - non stop takes a lot of space but you have to go through the images to identify where you need to review and then go to the playback and scroll through. The other option only this when there is motion and there is a limited amount of time for each sensitivity option. I had instances where someone was in my yard and after thirty seconds the recording stopped so I have no idea what happened after that. ... show more
