Installation Guide Step 1: Prepare the Area - Mark the border line and remove any rocks, roots, or debris Step 2: Dig and Position the Edging -Dig a trench along the line, about half the height of the edging. Insert the edging and keep it straight. For curves, gently bend it to shape. Step 3: Secure the Edging -Backfill with soil and compact it firmly for stability. If the soil is hard, moisten it slightly before compacting.

I like this. I used them around my trees. Easy to work with. Most importantly, they are rusting a touch. I wanted this to happen. Im glad. I wanted the farm metal look like it’s supposed to be aged and not like a fake farmhouse look if you know what I mean. My house is a bit run down fixer upper. The yard is extra big compared with my neighbors, in the suburbs. Im adding farmhouse things around to make it look not so drab. I do not like the tacky farmhouse looking items. Easy to cut, easy to drill and screw into a circle shape. I want to use to reinforce dirt wall around a sunken firepit. Enough space so it doesn't get hot, or burn...but keeps dirt from collapsing in.

As a Florida landscaper, I've worked with many different types of edging. I opted for this product due to its 12" heighth. We had some pretty significant erosion after frequent hurricanes the last few years and I needed a way to raise the soil level because of some root exposure on my coconut palm. Given I live on a barrier island, we have very sandy soil and I was hoping this wouldn't create an issue given that the only means of securing the edging is by burying about half of it. However, I had no issues. My biggest concerns are corrosion. This wasn't really touched on in the product description. I have posted a picture of the detailed instructions for your convenience. I will update my review once it's had some time outdoors to test it's durability and once it gets filled with soil and some plants. Definitely make sure you have a good pair of tin snips and cut resistant gloves if you plan on adjusting its length. ... show more

This review is based only on one criteria. The manufactures inability to be honest. They tell us the metal is .05” thick (their product picture). This is dishonest because it is not. It is actually .016”, less than 1/3 what they say, or stated differently, 3 times thinner than they say. You can see the actual thickness in the photo I include. They are deceptive because they measure the top edge which has been folded over on to itself, not tightly (otherwise it would measure .032”). There is not enough detail in their picture to know the metal has been folded over on itself. This is misleading. The correct specification for this product is .016”. Anything other than that is deceptive unless it is qualified with an explanation, like .032” after we have folded it over on to itself. It is a shame really. The edging does seem like it will work for my purposes. There really wasn’t a need to be dishonest. Updated. I bought 5 rolls. I will be sending 4 back. I opened one to measure it so rather than deal with returning that one I will keep it . After reading more reviews I see that there is a problem with the metal rusting through. Because it is so thin and the metal isn’t galvanized before treating it with a rust finish it will likely not last a year. The metal is bare steel that is rusted rather than a galvanized metal that is essentially painted with a rust finish. ... show more

Thicker than I expected in a good way. Get proper scissors like Wiss Action Snips to cut. Sprayed the holes from the screws and edges with rustoleum for good to measure to prevent corrosion. Just installed so will see how it does over time.
