This is a well made, classy, 1 meter (3.3 ft), fabric-covered USB-C to Lightning cable. There is a PU leather binder provided with an old fashioned snap closure. Packaging is minimal but sufficient cardboard and brown paper that is easily recycled. Both ends are of black flexible rubber with long tails to prevent excessive bending and the cable is hefty with a fine black fabric coating. Excellent quality all around. ... show more

The cord is nice and thick the ends has a very nice a nice piece to keep it from fraying and it seams to charge my phone pretty fast. So far it’s doing it’s job and we like it will be ordering another one pretty soon when the new phone arrives

Hi ... For two weeks now I’ve been pairing this Lauco cable with an Apple USB-C 20 watt power adapter to charge both my iPhone XR and iPad Air Gen 3. Apple support states these two devices are USB-C cable, and 20 watt “power adapter” compatible and I have had no problems at all charging them with the Lauco cable. The charger / power adapter never gets more than an unconcerning level of warm and the cable doesn’t appear to know its working. The fit and finish of the cable are very nice. From my experience, this cable is middle of the pack in both weight and diameter for a one meter length USB-C cable. It has a nice drape and flexible enough to easily coil up into a small transportable look that can be secured by the attached pleather cable stay. While I have not yet been able to use this cable to transfer data and, as a result, cannot speak to its data transfer rate speed, I can say that using it to charge my iDevices is a pleasure. My phone and iPad charge charge far more quickly and everything is running at normal temperatures. I am pleased ... I do want to give a shout out to the Lauco designers and engineers who worked on the development of the rubberized shrouds around the end connectors. Whoever fought to include the incised “V”s in each connector cover deserves (very) high marks on his/her/their next performance review. These cutouts greatly enhance the grip ability of each connector end when inserting and removing the plug(s). Nice work! And, lastly, regarding the Kevlar fabric cable covering .... simply put, I’m glad that its there. I understand it to be an extremely tough, durable, fiber that will help ensure that the essential core components of the cable are ably protected during day-to-day transport and use. I appreciate its utility and like that its there ... All that being said ... I can say that this is a cable that performs very well, looks quite nice and has first rate ergonomics. The fact that Lauco met Apple’s criteria to receive its “Made for iPhones, iPads, and iPods” certification guarantees that it will work with approved Apple devices with a lightning connectors. This “MFI” certification is the veritable “cherry on top”. These qualities all add up to make this Lauco cable an easy one to recommend. Have fun. ... show more

    • So far so good, but only time will tell
Seems like most lightning cables are pretty much the same--but this one claims to be made with Kevlar, so hold the promise of long-life and durability. We'll see. In the meantime, it looks good, comes with an leather cable wrap, and seems like a quality cable.

    • Broke after a couple of months.
Charger worked fine for a while, very fast charging. After 3-4 months it would stop charging my phone if I moved the cable. Eventually gave up on it and threw it out.
