These are hands down the best water bottles out there. I do not go anywhere without mine. It truly cleans itself and purifies my water, allowing me to confidently drink tap water and completely stop buying massive plastic packs. If I could change one thing, it would be the size because I wish it held a bit more. However, the compact size means it fits in most car cup holders. It can be a tight squeeze or a no go in some, which gets slightly irritating, but the smart features and water tracking are fantastic. The battery life is also impressive since it holds a charge for a long time and you rarely have to plug it in.

UPDATE: Having spent more time with this smart water bottle I feel it's probably fair to upgrade my review from 2 stars to 3 stars. The main reason being that the water consumption tracking feature does seem to work somewhat better than I initially thought. It's not flawless, and there are times when it doesn't record consumption, but for the most part it seems to be working well enough....there can be a lag, it might initially miss hen you'e taken sips, but eventually it seems to get it right. I’m really frustrated with this LARQ Pure Viz 2 water bottle. Before I dive into the negatives there are some positives to note. The bottle and components are well made, of very high quality, it looks and feels great and overall has the feel of a premium product. It’s also very very good at keeping things cold for a long time (I have not tried anything warm or hot). It’s also surprisingly robust and I feel it will stand up well to any abuse. The app is also quite well designed, free from clutter and very user friendly, and also allows you to manually add anything you drink from other sources (e.g you can manually add tea/soda/coffee consumption). However, these are standard expectations for a premium water bottle and no better than other luxury water bottles from companies like Hydroflask etc. Larq claims that the bottle does two main things - track water consumption and purify water. Well the water tracking, which is the main reason I bought this bottle, simply does not work to any degree of reliability, most of the time it fails to record that I have taken a drink from it. From reading online reviews and Amazon reviews it’s clear this is a common problem. The “fix” is usually to reset the bottle and while this is simple to do (from the app) it’s hugely frustrating to have to do this on a regular basis and not at all the user experience one should expect from a supposedly premium product at this price point. Secondly, it’s my understanding that the bottle is supposed to notify you when it’s time to take a drink. This notification doesn’t work either .I bought this bottle because I don’t drink enough water, my understanding was that these notifications would appear on my phone but that isn’t the case (yes, I have notifications turned on, etc). Notification occur on the bottle itself in the form of a flashing LED ring on the top of the bottle, there’s no audio notification so unless you have your bottle with you and in sight you’re not going to be aware of these notifications…and if it’s out of sight then you are bang out of luck. Apparently there are updates planned that will enable phone notifications, but for now the notification feature is what it is, and sucks. Thirdly, the filtration system takes up a lot of inside pace and makes it super difficult to actually drink from the bottle. The filter has to be installed in a very specific way and it’s honestly quite challenging to do so right and took a lot of trial and error to do so. It also means that ice is out, I’ve tried putting ice in the bottle with the filter installed and it’s just impossible to get anything more than a few sips from it. I’ve ended up removing the filter and straw entirely and just using this as a standard water bottle. Also, the bottle seems to hold less than advertised (even with the filter removed) but I haven’t actually measured it yet. Overall this gets two stars from me purely because I like the quality, look and feel of the actual bottle itself, and that’s it. Everything else sucks. This is getting returned.

I have been using this bottle for a month now and I like it so far. It is hard to tell if all the claims made by this product is true and you done really get to see it in action. There are some things I like about this, the designs is pretty cool and looks contemporary. The insulation is the bottle is pretty good. My water temperature holds for almost 24 hours. the hydration tracking is pretty cool. Everytime you drink off of it and put it on a flat surface, the app instantly tells you how much you consumed and lately, you don't have to clean it as it is advertised as a self cleaning water bottle which I love. The things i don't like is obviously the price and hate that there is a constant change of filter. I haven't had to change it yet but I know its coming and I am not looking forward to it. The app claims that it sends reminders to drink water but I am yet to receive the notification. Lastly, given the price tag, I wish it was trackable via the app. This bottle is most suitable for travellers and hikers.

One time at work, I ran out of water and filled it from a nearby creek. Again, no problems. The water tasted great, and I felt completely fine afterward. It’s a massive relief knowing I don’t have to stay thirsty just because I ran out of fresh water. Battery life is fantastic, and the durability is surprisingly solid. Despite the sleek, minimalist design, it’s tough. I’ve dropped it on concrete, slammed it into doors, and used it with muddy hands — it still cleans up like new. No dents, no scratches. Genuinely impressive. I’d recommend this to anyone trying to fix their hydration habits or anyone who works (or adventures) in places where clean water isn’t guaranteed. Just keep in mind: it’s not magic. The chances of something harmful getting through are extremely low, but they’re never zero. Larq makes no claim of 100% purity, and it’s good to stay aware of that. Still, this bottle has earned a permanent spot in my daily gear.

I recently tried the LARQ Bottle PureVis 2. It arrived well-packaged, and the water bottle includes its own filter. The instructions were easy to follow. It's a pleasing matte white color with a textured surface for a good grip. I tested the filter's effectiveness by filling the bottle with tap water and activating the filter using either the app or the button on the bottle; both methods worked well. OTo my delight, the filtered tap water tasted excellent. A side-by-side comparison with unfiltered tap water clearly showed the filter's effectiveness. This bottle is perfect for on-the-go hydration, allowing me to refill with tap water anywhere and enjoy great-tasting filtered water. The app helpfully monitors my water intake and provides personalized daily recommendations based on my age and activity level. Overall, it's a fantastic smart water bottle that filters water, tracks intake, and boasts a long-lasting charge. The water filter will only begin filtering once it is manually activated either on the bottle or through the app. The app's battery life indicator is a full shaded image; despite a charge time of less than a day, it has lasted nearly four weeks. I removed the filter to verify the app's filter life percentage. It began at 100% upon installation on December 22nd; by December 28th, it showed 92%, after only two uses with tap water. To test the accuracy, I removed the filter completely, and the percentage continued to decrease. It was at 92% when removed and 77% on January 5th, even without use. Therefore, I would not trust the app's filter life percentage indicator.
