I like how you could separate it and use it different ways. I liked how it had a place for storage. I just didn’t like that. It was hard to slide it back together because it wasn’t made flush. It just wasn’t made right the first time.

I love the entire lap desk and appreciate the storage it offers. I would only suggest instead of magnets holding the storage contents I would replace the magnets with a flip lock because you have to limit what you put in there or it will fall out.

This is the perfect lap desk, and I would highly recommend it. The desk is made of natural wood and has a pretty large storage area and magnetic closure with a handle for easy carrying. It can be used as a computer riser and has a detachable pillow/hard surface, like having two lap desks in one. It makes an excellent workstation for those in tight quarters who don't have a dedicated desk area or like to move around. THAT IS IF THE DESK ARRIVES IN ONE PIECE! Unfortunately, my first order arrived damaged. Amazon offered a replacement which ended up also being damaged and undeliverable. This is my third attempt to receive an undamaged desk, so fingers crossed. The only reason I'm even bothering again is that it is one of the best-designed lap desks on the market. Not sure who is responsible, but when packing this item for delivery, please secure it with padding or protective wrap. My first attempt at this desk was shipped in a plastic bag and placed in the box with no padding, bubble wrap, etc. I think it would be less expensive to spring for padding instead of absorbing the cost of replacements and refunds.

I purchased this to work from my favorite chair. I was excited to receive it quickly, and the packaging was i. I opened the box a and slid the new lap desk from the plastic wrap and it looked great. When I opened the lid, everything fell apart. All four screws that hold the lid on we're stripped, and the lid fell away. The components look great, but assembly quality control appears nonexistent. I could fix it, but at this price, why would I bother. Sadly, I will be returning it.

The first one, was broken around the magnets so I would not stay close. Sent me a 2and one it the wrong color, but still magnets will not stay close but it was not broken. They sent me a third on. The right color but same magnets we fine but not strong enough. At this time after 3 I gave up. The magnets are junk. I still use it but i have to put a band over it so nothing falls out. Why cant the just have put a latch on it instead of using the magnets? Glad I got it on sale. I would be really tick if I paid $80 for it.
