We used it on our DIY Turkish Lamps we bought for a family get together art project. We had 3 lamps and made additional mosaic parts to the glass globe, to use less beads. These were just slightly larger, and were a beautiful addition! They were perfect thickness, cut well, no splinters of glass, and a great value. These are nice, transparent little pieces of glass! There are some rough edges, but I easily filed them with a metal nail file. The “purples” aren’t great, otherwise, the others are nice, bright primary colors. I gave 4 stars because there’s no consistency with shapes to colors. For example, you don’t get a specific amount of each shape in every color and some colors you only get one shape and just a few….why it’s called “mixed”. 🤷🏻♀️ Bottom line….I’d purchase these again. ... show more

    • School project on Mosaics that didn't break the bank

The media could not be loaded. Exactly what we needed for a mosaic school project. We used air dry clay and made a basic outline of our design. We had to reinforce the air dry clay on the back with duct tape and then glue it onto cardboard so it could be brought to school easily. My 8 yr old granddaughter was able to complete this on her own once I got her started. She pushed the glass pieces into the clay with her fingers or a pencil with an eraser. The glass pieces came in a small plastic box that latches, and the box was cracked in shipment, but we just taped it together and it has held up fine. She spread the pieces onto a sheet baking pan so she could more easily find the colors and shapes she wanted. It has a good variety of different colors and about 4 or 5 different shapes. The squares do line up with 2 triangles, rectangles are about same width as squares. She did not get injured during the project. The pieces are thick enough so that they did not break during the construction of this project. It was a low cost solution to producing a school project. She only used about a third or less of all the pieces, so there's more left for other projects. ... show more

There are some really pretty colors in this assortment, and there were very few broken or mis-shaped pieces. There were unfortunately quite a few white and dull colored pieces as well, but for the price I can't complain.
