The sheets arrived and I thought the weight seems a bit off. But, I needed and had no time to shop. I washed immediately. In comparing my old sheets and these, the were not as thick and were lighter. Strange when I ordered higher thread count. My others were 1000 count. Am I disappointed, yes. But, I need and will use until Black Friday sale from my store. I wasn't quite sure I would receive the correct site. The title says Cal King, but I ordered a Queen. Sure enough, I did receive a Queen. This has a certification for sustainable packaging, but I didn't realize it was OEKO-TEX certified until they actually arrived. I don't know why this wasn't included in the Amazon product detail page or in their marketing materials anywhere. This certifications means it met minimal standard for low chemical use, sustainability, and social responsibility. This is important to me when ordering. However, this is not labeled organic. These are beautifully made sheets. I have ordered lots of sheet sets on Amazon that claim to be premium, but these are the first ones that truly match the standards of premium American brands. I don't see any loose threads. The stitching is so incredibly tight, and everything is double stitched. Usually for the embroidery they will sew in a piece of cording, but this is actually embroidered and is absolutely terrific. I got the 1500 thread count, and double checked under a microscope. Yes they absolutely are what they claim. The texture may be a surprise to some people. These are heavy and fairly rigid sheets, made from thick cotton threads. Thread count has nothing to do with the type of material used - you could make a 1,000 thread count out of wire if you wanted to. So thread count isn't a measure of softness. My set of Queen sheets is about 7 pounds! A lot of brand just make their sheets thinner, in an attempt to trick people into thinking they're softer. Just realize these are not thin sheets, and therefore may not seem that soft until you actually lay down in them. I love the feel of these sheets. I don't like thin sheets, slippery satin sheets, and I don't like sleeping on silk. All of those sheets will slip all over the bed, and will wrinkle underneath you. These are heavier, and will not. But of course this is a personal preference. Finally, I have tested many sheets from Amazon claiming to be sateen weave, but are really not. I don't think there is any legal definition, so I don't complain too much. But a real sateen weave is 3 over 1, and these are indeed a true, traditional sateen weave. I confirmed all of this under the microscope - thread count, material type, and weave. Additionally, I just loved the look of the embroidered edging under the microscope, even at 100x amplification the stitching was still incredibly even. This is probably boring to most people, but I'm pretty impressed. My only complaint is that they're not labeled organic. I'm still giving them 5 stars. ... show more

I ordered these sheets not knowing whether they were for a CK (California king) bed or a king-size bed, but, since I have both, it didn't matter either way. I would've been happy with either set, but I got the king-size set and it's gorgeous. These come in several solid colors, and mine are white, which is beautiful and would go with anything. I've never had sheets this luxurious, and they're so soft and comfortable, breathable. They're also sweat absorbent to keep you cooler. The fitted sheet has 15" deep pockets, which fit my tall mattress perfectly, and there's a second band of elastic at the top of the pockets to make them fit better. These gorgeous sheets are machine washable at room temperature and can be tumble dried on low. I do wish we had a clothesline to hang these up to dry on, then put them in the dryer on low for a while. These beautiful, very well made sheets are extremely soft, which is no surprise considering they're made of Egyptian cotton with OEKO-TEX standard certification. I love waking up to the feeling of these luxurious sheets every day. This is a standard size king sheet set, as far as I know, with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. The pillowcases and flat sheet have white trim, and the pillowcases have a four-inch hem. I highly recommend this excellent, very well made set of 1500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets to anyone who needs new ones and wants to get something that will last a long time and be super comfortable. These would make wonderful wedding gifts, but the first set you order should be for yourself. Everyone loves luxury and comfort at the end of the day. ... show more

When I first put these on my bed, I was amazed at how well designed they were. I know what you are thinking, well designed sheets? Yes, these are truly deep fitted, and the fitted sheet has an extra elastic on each corner to keep the sheets on the bed! I am always trying to get my fitted sheet to stay on the bed, but this one went on and I haven’t had a single problem with it, it just stays in place. It’s like magic and I am over the moon about it. The sheets feel a little thicker than some of my other sheets, but they feel great against your skin, and they aren’t hot. These really do feel like luxury hotel sheets. I also found that after a few washes they get even better. I also like that the pillowcases weren’t those massive (useless) cases that usually come with king sized sheets, they are standard size pillowcases and fit perfectly. I don’t know why they didn’t make a huge deal in their product information about the extra elastic piece on the fitted sheet, because it makes these sheets worth every cent.
