They even look good enough to be decorative towels. They're perfectly fine. Every new towel has lint. Just wash them in warm water with whatever detergent you use, use vinegar for the rinse cycle. Then dry as directed. Clean your lint trap and then put in for 60 min of air dry. After 3 uses and normal washes we didn't see a bit of lint. Better than "Better Homes and Garden," "Great Value," or "Threshold," or whatever Target's brand is called. People love to complain. Just wash and dry them properly and it's fine, it's honestly fiiiine. We got the teal ones. Bold color, hasn't faded, hasn't run on other towels. Soft and absorbant. We bought these to replace our bathroom towels. The color is nice and the size is good but the fabric is only so-so. It is absorbant and soft but not very thick. My wife and I agreed that they are a step up from low-end hotel towels but they may not last us more than six months. Several came frayed out of the box (see picture). These are decent, large cotton towels and washcloths, but they are fairly thin. They’re advertised as “Hotel Quality”, but I haven’t seen towels this thin in any reputable hotels for decades. They’re still a good buy for the price if you’re not looking for a thick, fluffy towel.

Upon first opening they come in an air tight bag so they look very thin. After washing I am pleasantly surprised to say these are decently thick and very soft. Definitely would recommend

I received these towels and they immediately went through a washer/dryer cycle. Upon cleaning the lint trap after drying the towels I was wowed by the amount of lint and even large debris in the trap. There was also quite a bit of large debris still sticking to the dry towels. So back into the wash they went, me thinking that perhaps this time would clear off the remaining debris and lint. On the second run, I checked the dryer lint trap mid dry cycle and there was still an inordinate amount of lint and large debris (and at the end of the cycle as well). So back into the washer / dryer they went. This time SURELY there could not possibly be more lint and large debris. SURELY. Well, don't bet on that. I again checked the lint trap about halfway through the dry cycle and it was again loaded with lint (not much large debris this time to be fair). They are still in the dryer as I wrote this but even if the lint trap was completely clean I'm disillusioned at this point. I have another set on order that I am going to be immediately returning unused/unopened. I haven't decided yet on this set (I really don't like the thought of using them to dry and finding myself covered with lint) but if once dry I still see lint and debris stuck to them they are going back as well. This item proves that it isn't enough to see a 4.4/4.5 star rating and rely on it being a good product. many of the 1/2/3 star reviews mention this same problem and I wish now I would have read them. My review title comes from the thought that popped into my head after finding the lint trap packed on the 3rd wash/dry round. "Are these things just glued together lint??" EDIT: I decided to do a 4th round of washing / drying. the image of the lint trap is the result of that round. Still way more lint than i would expect after 4 consecutive wash dry cycles and circled is the large particles that still seem to be coming off. ... show more
