  • So Much Great Info!
Format: Paperback
This book is totally worth the money if you're thinking of renting out property. It does provide the reader with a lot of scenarios in which a landlord could be sued if they violate the law, so much so that I'm a little wary of becoming a landlord but if you do what you're supposed to do this can be prevented as the book clearly demonstrates. I believe one of the authors' experience comes from owning very large multi-family apartments and the co-author is this person's attorney so they've seen it all! One thing I didn't like are the constant references to other sections and chapters which I found to be unnecessary. There are also lots of references to online websites including their own and this is great but thought it should've been organized into one section. I had to go back and do my own sorting. Although this was a negative I had to give it five stars because the book is packed with everything you need to know to become a landlord. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
Format: Paperback
Better than I expected. I am amazed how much great content there is. The additional downloadable forms are worth getting. I had to contact the manufacturer to get the login to work. I added the section about fire extinguishers to our leases.

  • Absolutely get this if you are first time landlords
Format: Paperback
We are first time landlords renting our house out so we can travel. So the legalities were very scary and internet searches didn’t help. This book is concise and gave links for forms we needed to download and told us things we hadn’t even thought about yet that needed to be done. Very helpful.

  • Landlord think she’s a lawyer but book helped me in lawsuit on her.
Format: Paperback
Was going to give this to my landlord so she’d known the laws because she thinks she’s her own lawyer. But after having her violate several laws I’ve decided to use this book against her.
