I got a new ebike, and so far it's been great - however, since the battery integrated into the frame, there aren't any attachment points for bottle cages, etc. And since I've reached the age where I need a step-thru frame, there's no top tube for a frame bag. On top of all that, ebikes have a control screen and a throttle attached to the handlebars, in addition to the shifter, brakes, etc. This is a pretty clever idea that gives yo some extra real estate to mount accessories. It matches the finish of my new ebike exactly. I already attached my cell phone holder and have ordered a handlebar-mounted water bottle holder. Installation was a bit fidgety, but that's probably due more to the weird angle and my big hands. After a few rides I noticed the Allen bolts had loosened up, I removed them and re-assembled it with some thread locker and it's been fine since.

The two aluminum mounts have a hinged plastic insert and also a rubber insert to adjust to various handle bar diameters. The mounts securely attach to the handle bar using the allen screws to tighten it down. The 6th picture of the Amazon listing shows the mount has a 4” length dimension. Note this is an outside end-to-end dimension. The actual center-to-center distance is much shorter at approximately 2.6”. The length is maybe too short since it barely has enough clearance for a display on an Ebike. It would be better if longer mount lengths were available to provide additional clearance.

Product arrived nicely packaged. The mount has a hinge to fit over the bar and the plastic insert has a hinge as well. Even with the mount to this accessory bar completely unscrewed and open, when you slide the bar into the mount, it is too tight and it scratches itself. I tried using a screwdriver to open it a bit more but the mount is quite strong, opened up just a bit, but with the type of opening, it still was right and scratched. Not a big deal if you are keeping the mounts at the end like on mine application, but if you are mounting them further in, i would not be happy with the scratches. The allen screws are a bit short if you have an oversized application, but even with the frame bar I was using, the diameter was within spec for this product and I had a hard time getting the screw to start in the threads. I installed this for an engine guard dampener across the tow guard halves and to mount additional lighting. I am happy with the dampening effect, but it is most likely not applicable to others. The bar and mount is secure, but the clamp is not all the way closed, even when it is clamping onto the bar it is designed with. The mount and bar is still very sturdy and it lasted two days of motorcycle riding and offroading on rough terrain.

I found myself with quite a few things on my handlebar - electric horn, throttle and LCD display (it's a DIY ebike), light, mirrors, phone holder, plus the brakes and shifters. I didn't even have room for the rubber covers on the ends. In looking for ways to make this more comfortable (and safe), I found this handlebar extender, which I am using to mount my phone holder, light, and LCD display. I might move the light to the fork crown and see if my mirrors would work on this too, if the view angle is wide enough.

I was looking for something to extend my faucet, this seemed like it would work, and it did! Great product. If it's strong enough for this Frankenstein job, it's definitely strong enough to hold your gear to your bike. Easy to install, and handy to use. I wouldn't recommend cutting your faucet in half unless you know what you're doing.

The Himiway Cruiser has handlebars that have varying diameters across the entire length of the bars. They are widest at the middle where this extender will fit. I found that this extender did fit on the Cruiser perfectly. The extender does come with shims to help fit on smaller diameter bars. Installation is super easy.
